Isometric view and Vapor trails

Hello everyone.
When Galciv2 was just about to come out I had a question and a suggestion. They went like this:
QUESTION: Would it be possible as an option to be able to move the camera on the isometric view to the horizontal axis and past it to see under the ships/planets?
I understand this was once available in a beta but was subsequently removed. It was due to frame rates I think? Could it be put back in??
SUGGESTION: Vapor trails on the back of ships in the isometric view to show if a ship has moved and by how much. This could be available after the appropriate technology has been researched. Maybe a "Radar Tech" or something.
I know this was greeted with enthusiasm at the time.
This is a very good game with great support and I am enjoying very much.
