Thank God For StarDock

NO copy Protection, No hassle

Ive been tempting to buy the new RPG game that just came out (Titans Quest).
But having read a ton of forum posts and see how so many people r have problems just getting the game started due to the copy protection, which happens to be Secrum 7.
Heck you pay 50$ for a game and cant even play it because you have emulation software installed, so you can legally backup your game discs, its just sad.

And once people finally get the game to run, it has some horrible bugs, IE random crashs, lockups, corrupted character files. What a mess.

Just wanted to say Thank god for stardock, they got my business for life. Am boycotting any company using Secrum or Star Force copy protection. Why bite the hand of the user who is feeding you? Make it as non obtrusive as necessary if u have to have copy protection. Dont go over board with it like secrum and starforce have done. Its just frustrating and Sickening .

Well, I would love to hug at least one "stardockian", well maybe two. Thats it though, no more, if I have to hug another princess... oh yeah, well hugs all around.

LOL was readin on Titan Quest support forum, they company is rushing to get the patch out. However, due to the abtrusive copy protection, they r having a hard time decerning what type of problems people are having with. Either its secrum or the game itself. What a mess

y cant they all look at stardock and say "this is the way you do a game"

A sieral code is all u really need.

IE

Sieral code to patch
Sieral code to actvate after patch
Sieral Code to download the game

The correct term is 'tempted', not 'tempting'.

And the correct spelling is 'serial', not 'sieral'.

And I won't go too far into 'Thank God for Stardock' other than - computer games based around killing have very little to do with bringing one closer to God, and Stardock probably did not exclude protection for the sake of God.

If you are that picky about spelling, then dont go onto public forums because spelling here isnt that important, as long as the point comes across. If your an english teacher, then take this as an example to teach your students how to spell while typing at a fast speed.

Thanking God for something, well there is nothing wrong about that. Also what does bringing me/it closer to God have anything to do with it.

all hail star dock.

I user a 64bit machine and ALL games i havet aht have CD protection software dun work.

I find cd protection useless, peopel are gona fidn a way arround it. heck I remeber seeing pirated version of HL2 1 day after it's release.

and I would have never got ALL the galactic civ games if you had copy protection. My roomate had downloaded galactiv civ 2 and I played it nad loved it and went out and got galactic civ 1 and expantion and the second and jsut pre-ordered the new expantion pack.

now I can't stop playign this game and it works fine on my 64 bit system!
