Population Incorrect?

I am playing in a large galaxy and have a pretty sizable population at end game. I was at 900+ B people, then a few turns later I look and now I'm at 0.001094517 T. I'm gonna guess that there's an error with the point there. I think it should be 1.094517 T. Also, just like 1.095 T or so would be plenty of digits to show me.

Yes that is an error, you have to multiply by 1000 :/ Annoying it is, hope it will get fixed soon

OH well it went to scientific notation. no big deal.

No. Scientific notation would be 1.094517E+12 or 1.094517 X 10^12.

Depends where you are from, and whether you use "short scale" or "long scale" number definitions.

In the sense that the game representation of "billion" appears to be a "short scale" definition (i.e. 10^9) then you are correct that the decimal point is misplaced as a short scale trillion is a thousand billion, however from my point of view (as coming from a "long scale" using country) then the decimal place is pseudo-correct as a trillion is a million billion, but should be in fact 10^18, not 10^15 as it is displayed at.

Confused yet?

I grew up in Poland, and they use long scale there too. I didn't know that there were Enligh speaking countries that actually use long scale. However the game should clearly use shortscale as in long scale billion would have been 10^12 am I right?
