EB pre-order foul up! No special edition for pre-order!!!

I pre-ordered Gal civ 2 to ensure getting the special edition. I really don't carry about the box, but the extra goodies and tech map were appealing. After being 4 days late, EB games finally got my pre-order in. It was NOT the special edition.

Fortunatley, the great people of stardock have allowed the the first run copies of the stnd version to still download the collector's edition stuff. However, I am still out the tech map. Frankly, I am just happy to have the game, but I did think that the Stardock team should know whats going on. I am a little dissapointed I didnt get the tech map I expected from pre-ordering. It is HUGE disencentive to pre-order if there is no advantage and when promises made fall through...........

IF possible, is it possible to get a tech map shipped, or at least get a high quality printable pdf version of the map? Sorry, just a bit disgusted. I hate unfullfiled promises.....

If you'll notice the new news post on the front page, its stated that you should email them and they'll send you a tech tree as they get them in.

With all these posts about this and that retailer missing the game or this and that thing wrong, I'll be happy in 2 weeks when we get back to some normality....I'm sure Stardock will be happy people can look at vacations to that place...whats it called...ya know the one with the white coats with sleeves that tie behind their backs.

Don't feel too bad. I actually had to call EB Games last night to see why I had not received my pre-ordered copy yet. They apologized and upgraded the shipping to next day delivery at no charge. If everything goes as planned that means I should have it on Saturday (my bet is on Monday instead).

It'll be Monday. Shipping deliveries on Saturdays cost a lot extra (I looked up the prices), so EB naturally doesn't do it.

Put in perspective, it would cost at least as much as the game itself, up to 2x the cost of the game, just to have them deliver it on Saturday (UPS rates; EB doesn't ship FedEx for next day air in my experiences).
