Good Solid game so far, but I do have a UI issue. The red used on the blue background in the research tree is difficult for me to see. I do understand that this maybe a 'me' issue, but I thought maybe slightly different hues might make it easier to read for more than just me. Thanks for putting this together.

The other day when I went to play test the Rebellion Beta, I unwittingly set myself up to create a game where it was not possible to achieve victory. I set up Twin Empires map with one ally and 6 enemies in 4 teams, 2 per team. I also had not set team victory to yes, but did set teams to lock. When I eliminated all other factions, my computer ally dropped all the pacts we had together, but could not become an enemy (due t

I was always under (apparently the mistaken) asumption that having more than 1 trade port in a gravity well (not counting Starbases) did not help. I honestly did not know that putting 9 trade ports in a desert planet would produce so much income. Is it possible to resrict the number of trade ports in a gravity well to 1? With the Starbases with the trade facilities being a optional second the max you get is 2 trade ports wich just about everybody can get.
I know my game is not running at 1920x1200 like it used to, and in game it doesn't even show what resolution it is running. I suspect it is something like 800x600. I cannot change resolution (because it has no resolutions listed) and the setting file says that it should be running at 1920x1200. Even at the lower resolution, in which I would expect the game to run faster, it does not, likely due to laptops prefering to run at native resolutions
Add my name to the list of people who want a Diplomacy verion. Umm also, I know I am not the only one who wants this, but, if you could merge Mad Scientists' mod with yours, THAT would be awesome. As it is now, I am torn as to which mod I prefer to play, so if there was a mod (yours, because Ordian is not supporting his anymore) then I would little puppy happy. And then if it was udated to support Diplomacy, I wouldn't have to be torn as to which version of Sins to pl
Was the Starbase in a star at the time? Last night I noticed all my starbases (TEC) located in the star were not generating trade income.
I got the three files from another mod ( Mad Scientists mod) and it functions well. I did alter the files a little bit, I changed the max points from 8 to 17 for tec, 19 for Vas, and 20 for Advent. I did not change the names of the files in any way. I do not have any kind of manifest file anywhere in the Mod I am trying to create. Although the MS mod did have one (he is a real modder unlike me). I am only trying to modify the number of points the Starb
GoaFan, is this supposed to work with just about any minor modding? I tried to do a quick mod to Diplomacy, A star Base Mod I called it, and inside it I made a GameInfo folder, and inside that I placed the 3 starbase entity files. Mod showed up in Dip. and when I tried to enable it, I got a mini dump. Now I am sure I failed to do something, I just need to know what. -Rezulin
I am having an odd gameplay issue with this mod, and for the life of me I cannot track down where it is coming from. Advent is starting with 2 Cap ship points with a max total of 17, while everyone else (TEC, Vas) start with just 1 and have a max total of 16 like usual. My issue is this, I actually like being able to pump out an extra cap, and I would like to do so with the other 2 factions, but I cannot find where Advent is getting the extra point.
Heyyy, no fair editing a post that I had read already. I will go look for the 5 files. Thanks, -Rezulin
Thank you for the information about being able to use the Mod for 1.041 for the 1.05 version. I do have an issue with it though. I seem to not be able to see any planets/asteroids. I see the shading for them but the planets and asteroids are gone. It is not game breaking however because I can still select said entities and I can still see my ships. Is there something I can do to fix this? -Rezulin
Oh Great and Benevolent Harpo99999, We the Few beseech thee to take pity on us and update this Grand mod to 1.05 and post it for download. We ask this because you are mighty, and so many of us are downright pitifully ignorant in the ways of the computer. We do not ask that yo
Great Mod Ordian, I am getting a MiniDump from researching Insurgency lev4, and it was repeatable. The first 3 levels caused no problems, but when the fourth one completed researching, I immediately had a miniDump. Thought I'd let you know so that you could fix it. -Rezulin
The numbers are different for each of the starbases. Tec 17 Vasari 19 (Phase) Advent 20 (Psi) If you use those numbers on the standard bases then you can put all the available upgrades into each one. For myself, after trying to get the files to work with another Mod (Mad Scientists) and failing, I simply looked and found the base files in his mod and modded them to have the numbers I wanted. -Rezulin
Success! Thanks Harpo! However, not in the exact way you mentioned because I have another Mod I like using (Mad Scientist's Mod) and when combining the 2 I got a mini dump, or it failed to function. So, I scrapped what I was doing and altered the other Mod (modded the Mod?) and was able to set each of the SB's to their max possible slots. 17 for Argonev, 19 for Orkullus (sp?) and 20 for the Trancendia. Still would have liked the SB to
And I very much apreciate the information harpo!! Thanks a bunch! just one question, I understood all the required steps, except I am a little stumped on #1. Where might I find the reference files? -Rezulin
Out of Curiosity, can anyone point me to a Mod that put the slots available to the various SBs up to max? Or, failing that, at least a few more slots? Must have more Powerful SBs!! -Rezulin
Alright, Alright, I'll concede the point and stop pushing for SBs to gain Levels. As I sated before, I am not a modder, but I will accept the word of one who is. (still sucks though) -Rezulin
If the main issue is the increased numbers in Hull, Shields, and Weapon damage, then I say don't worry about that part and just add the part about adding extra slots (available, will still have to be purchased) as the SB goes up in levels. I don't remember if SBs even have 18 slots to purchase, so perhaps every 2 levels an additional slot becomes available. -Rezulin
Capital ships have large crews and don't die quickly, and so they have a chance to learn from mistakes as well as the crew going from rookie to veteran. This is the Lore part of the reason Cap ships gain Levels. StarBases seem to also fall under this catagory as well. I was wondering is it was possible to Mod the starbases so as to allow them to gain Exp and therefore Levels. As to the benefits of the levels, I would say the usual incr
