OK, this is getting frustrating... I went back to it a few days later, and was amazingly able to install via SDC. Rebooted as directed, WB6 came up fine. No problem. The next day, turned on the computer, got the "This computer MUST be rebooted before this program will work! (referring to WB6)". Rebooted, got the same message. Hmmmm... Uninstalled via SDC. Rebooted. Downloaded and installed Impulse (what a cool program!). Rebooted. Reinstalled WB6 (and a few other updat

WB somehow disappeared from my computer (HP laptop running Vista) so I went to SC to reinstall. Tried installing WB 6.1 (the latest version showing); it got 75% through, then said Missing WbSrv.dll. So I installed WB 5.5 with no trouble (and that dll is now in the correct directory), shut down the computer, went to bed. This morning, tried again to install WB 6.1. It got a lot further through the installation, at least the log file is a lot longer, but eventually gave me the same error. Doubl

Graeters is great but I only get it when we go visit the in-laws. (Coffee milkshake made with coffee ice cream and coffee...) In the absence of that, Ben & Jerry's One Sweet Whirled is yummmmmy. But discontinued. <img src="http://images.s

Female, but not of the creative-skinner type. However, I greatly appreciate all of the (gender-neutral) wonderful stuff that gets posted here! Been using computers since... must have been 1982 or thereabouts. Lost all fear of them in 1984 when my grad advisor handed me a serial mouse board and said "Install this" and proceeded to "talk" me through it with him in his office with his feet on the desk and me in the outer room fighting with a sc

I love my job. I've been a college professor for 17 years; an administrator on campus for a year and a half. I spend tons of time teaching (which is great, especially when students admit that they actually enjoyed the class [it's organic chemistry, no one takes it as an elective!]) and solving problems for students (which is very rewarding). Wouldn't change it. </font

My favorite coffee shop (right across the street from the commuter rail station) sees me coming and hands me a medium size cup of half coffee half hot chocolate. YUMMMMY!

OK, it's autostarting now, which is nice - and today there are clouds in the weather window (yesterday was blue sky) so that is also cool. It's been the same wallpaper (which, granted, is a lovely peaceful pool with weeping willows kind of thingie) with the birdies twittering away from 9AM this morning until now (almost 4PM my time). So I'm wondering if/when the wallpaper and sound will change? It's on my work computer, so I don't see it early AM or at night as a general rule

I installed it today (and it's pretty cool) - had to restart my computer and Natural Desktop didn't automatically come back up. And I couldn't find any settings that seemed to make it do that. I'm sure I could put a shortcut in my startup folder (probably will) but was wondering if I was missing something... <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT=

Taking the original question seriously (and having thoroughly enjoyed Jafo's version of the Desiderata!) I'll go the practical route and say - be sure you know what the college's general education requirements are, and DON'T FALL BEHIND on them. I've seen waaaay too many students finish up a major and expect to graduate - but oops, they didn't do X. Or Y. Or Z. Or all of the above. And all of a sudden it's not a June degree but an August one. Or December. Or the following June, even. Fo
