I realized that I also selected the Universalists as my party so that's even more luck involved. I played the game a little more today and found yet another Ranger (up to 6 now) and had one of my planets turn into a class 35 :) Seems like luck is pretty nice after all.

Ahh, that must be it then! I did select luck as one of my advantages at the beginning of the game. I just did not realize it would have such an effect, usually such things are very subtle. Thanks for your swift reply. Also, forgive me for my newness to this very entertaining game, but what is all this business about empires and such? Does it have to do with the Metaverse at all?

I had to ask if anyone else has experienced this before. I am new to the game, I just recently purchased it (after trying the demo) and loaded it on my computer at work, where I play during lunch. I downloaded Stardock as well and used that to get the latest version of the game. I am still playing my first game but have come across something that I find unusual.
