The French have long been disgusted with Americans as a whole, for many reasons. It's really nothing I'd like to take the time to debate, but it mainly stems from the American outlook in that Americans are '#1', and 'the most deserving' in many things. That fact that Americans make fun of the French for not siding with them in a war without real motivation is proof in point. (Please note: when I say 'war without motivation', I simply mean that the reas

That is interesting. That makes me wonder what it really is that she objects to. Is it the effect on the animal, or is it the morality of the act? For instance... if a wild dog catches a rabbit and rips it to shreds, she is ok with this. But if a human rips a rabbit to shreds, she has a problem with this? The rabbit gets

Draginol --> "Let me say it very simply: OTHER THAN NUCLEAR POWER THERE IS NO CURRENT ENERGY SOURCE THAT WILL MAKE A SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE IN GLOBAL EMISSIONS FOR POWER GENERATION." Wrong. And while you are demanding proof from others that also say 'no' to your claim, even while it's in caps, I demad that you do the same to back up your statements. The combination of wind, solar, hydro, and other forms of more eco-friendly fuel sources with the conscious reduction of CO2 relea

You know, everyone should list what they do when people aren't looking. It's a bit liberating, and reminds you that you're human. Yeah, that's right...human. Me? Well...: I pick my nose Chew my fingernails and pick the skin around my nails Play with my hair Sing if I have music on Scratch myself (yeah, girls do that too) Check my stomach to see/feel if I've lost any fat Excercise, Stretch

A bit of insight to a sci-fi female's mind: Stephen Hawking's electro voice is sexy. Email is nice, I don't have to walk to the post office. Unless I ordered new juicy bits for my computer, and then the walk to the po is SO exciting. Internet shopping: same thing, except when the package arrives (woohoo!) I met my husband on the internet. I spend a LOT more time in front of my monitor than my tv, and I LIKE it. My favourite part of the movie

I will agree that for the most part I'm pretty skeptical and have fallen into the habit of expecting the worse and seeing the worst. However, due to my memory of a horrible show that called itself Battlestar Galactica (I mean, it was bad even when it was in full swing), I couldn't expect much worse that the Final Fantasy movie (can't remember the title) that was pretty but was the worst cliche-fest ever made until that point. So I watched the 'new' BG I expected to waste my time. I won'

Anthony R. -- "The UK is a place where Britons faced the Nazi empire alone, the British are a people that arguably may have been all that stood in between Nazism and democracy, to see 100,000 supposed UK citizens adulating and supporting terrorists, while they topple a mock statue of a US president was distressing." Do you really think that these 100k 'supposed UK citizens' support terrorists just because they toppled a statue of Bush? GemCityJoe -- "Some of the folks in Engla

What I find immature is the complete lack of ability to see people for who they are rather than judge them by the diploma they may or may not have from high school. As I mentioned, I'm quite sure you've encountered more people who haven't graduated school than you realize. You are missing the point so entirely that I sometimes am under the impression that you are trying to avoid it.

Why do you (Draginol) presume to know what he knows? And with a statement like that, don't you think you should at least make an attempt to support it so people like me don't have to prompt you to?

Well, obviously you are completely closed to the idea that: You can lie on your application. (duh) High school is a monstrous farce in many areas (popularity does not equal leadership), including 'education'. I do not denounce the fact it is a learning facility, yet it's disgusting the US doesn't rank even close to being in the top 10 in the world in any subject. You (messy buu) are extremely close-minded and no matter what anyone says, recounts, or provides as information for y

First, to Draginol: I humbly suggest you do more research, and not just looking up statistics on the internet, on Welfare. Granted, the entire system needs a lot of work, but there are so many issues that they could never be addressed in one thread/blog. The system is there to help people get back on their feet, and it is abused in many different ways. I agree that there are so many deadbeats abusing the system that it appears there are more of them than legitimate needy. Because of this, and be

What I'd like to see is public humiliation as punishment for some crimes rather that prison, or in conjunction with it. Public excecution will not have the effect today as it did hundreds of years ago, as most people would be entertained by it rather than affected by it in a way to curb crime. Wait! Yes, public beheadings drew crowds, burnings at the stake probably spurred the invention of roasting weenies on a stick, and a few may have even learned a bit about anatomy from public disembowelings

I can agree that most people have good intentions, but only when they are conscious of them. Kind of like the people that stop to let you cross the street when you're waiting for them to just drive by, so you can cross the street. I know to some that may not have made any sense, but if I'm standing on the sidewalk I'm waiting for the street to clear. It's when I'm already crossing the street that I'm more concerned about drivers letting me cross. Anyway, I'm pretty fed up with the uncon
