Logistics in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

How exactly do logistics work? I know that you pay an upfront cost for subsequent starbases as they are built. But how much is the cost? How quickly does it go up (is there some formula)? Do you only pay for building the starbase, or also for adding modules? Sorry for the basic questions. I searched the board, the manual, the readme's, but could not seem to find where the documentation is located..... Thanks!
