Not sure what you mean by "put codes aside". If you mean that I should not be using tools which directly modify the registry, that simply isn't an option. IconPackager isn't comprehensive enough for what I need. And as I said, using other tools shouldn't be the source of this issue. IconPackager should be robustly enough programmed that it keeps it's changes to itself. No other program has this issue, so why should it?

I'm using some iPacks in addition to using IconPackager. This has caused some issues as when I make a change in IconPackager it will completely revert 100% of the changes I've made using an iPack package (in case you don't know, iPacks are self installing icon packs that use an executable to change a bunch of the icons using dlls). I realize that this may garner a response of "Well that's the iPack's problem not ours" but the issue here is NOT that the IconPackager application is

I don't know why, but IconPackager is no longer showing up in the context menu when I click on any files, drives, or folders. I have been heavily editing my theme, icons, context menu etc. It was working. Now it is not. I have checked all the programs that I have used for editing the registry etc, and none of them show IconPackager as "disabled" etc. When I check directly in the registry, as far as I can tell, IconPackager is still enabled etc. But it just won't show up no matter how many tim

[quote who="anotherside" reply="1" id="3721094"] I'd like to import one of these archives into Icon Packager so that I can apply them automatically across my system. As this seems to be a common icon pack format across multiple Linux distros I assume there must be some interoperability with Icon Packager, which to my knowledge is the only Icon pack solution for Windows. (if I'm wrong on this point please tell me). <

Hi. I'm new to customizing windows interfaces. I've played with it some in the past but it's been a good while and I decided I'd go ahead and buy the full Object Desktop to have as many tools at my disposal as possible. In the process of doing this I'm also learning about how to customize my Linux Ubuntu 18.04 Gnome desktop interface. In Gnome and KDE there are icon packs that are distributed by users. Some of them are very nice and very very extensive. I found one that I thi

Hey, I need to move my Windows 10 installation from my SSD to an HDD, because I am switching my home desktop over to a Linux cloud server with Nextcloud. Can Backup Pro 11 do that? I like stardock as a company ad I'd like to support ya'll, and I love the UI, but I have to admit that I'm a bit confused on the differences between cloning, backing up, copying, moving over, creating a recovery image and then putting that image on a different piece of hardware etc. Idea

Also I'm running 3.0.8.1 Fences and Windows 10 (whatever latest stable update is) EDIT: ************************************************************************************************************************ Because I'm a new user I am unfortunately unable to reply to the lastest comments. But I wanted to let ya'll know that I have uninstalled and reinstalled Fences. But.... well... still crashing explorer. I don't know what to do though. An

Sure thing @AzDude I'll do that right now. In the process of doing research I also had a thought to check out the AppData folder and I found this which might be of help. It's a debug file for Fences. You can see near the bottom of it where my stuff started getting wonky though I don't really know what the rundll etc that it refers to is.

So, I'm a UX Designer learning how to program and I was messing around in the registry with my right click context menu settings. I changed the location and settings for the Configure Fences button. I ended up making a new one and then deleting the old one. But.... now whenever I open a folder in explorer explorer crashes. Since I hadn't radically changed much else, I figured I'd just uninstall and reinstall Fences. But when I try uninstall it from command line it tells me "i
