I have windows 11 Pro Release Preview (Current). Basically when you uninstall start 11. Then install the Start 11 V2 you get two icons. One for V2 and on for the original start 11. Only the original Start 11 icon opens the program. The Start 11 V2 icon does not function

I installed Start 11 V2 while Start 11 V1 was still installed thinking it would uninstall V1. It did, sort of......... When i had the Start 11 V2 interface opened and went to the Taskbar settings, it said another program was managing this feature. I then uninstalled Start 11 in the Control Panel. That uninstalled V1 and V2. I installed Start 11 V2 and it carried over the settings i did not removed when I uninstalled Start 11 V1. It works fine and has full control of all program

As far as specific lags on my PC, currently it is about 6-10 seconds where before it had been more than 20 seconds. As far as the number of icons in a fence, I also have very few per fence but some of those icons are shortcuts to folders with more file. Also, I have the onedrive portal setup. I may disable that and check the boot time?

I'm currently running windows 10 version 2004 build 19041.264. This is the May 2020 update. Microsoft's recent builds have decreased the boot time lag loading Fences down to about 8-10 seconds and once loaded, i have not noticed any performance issues. I've disabled the hide icons feature and am wondering if there are any other features that if disabled quicker boot times might be possible? Or will disabling features do little to improve boot times? Thanks

is there a possible timeline? weeks, months, etc? I've come to rely on the utility and am considering getting a different mobile unit with a compatible processor. However, if something is coming out soon, that would be useful information for me. With the Surface x and others likely to produce an ARM machine, maybe there is a reasonable demand.

I've used the Fences uninstall utility (bat file by Stardock) to try and get the program to work on my new Samsung tablet. Fences installs each time but after the reboot the program is not loading. The services are not running and when you click on the Fences program icon, you are prompted to reinstall Fences. This is a brand new Samsung tablet with Windows 10 home with stock security software (Defender/windows 10, etc)

Last night I did another install of Fences and the wait time for the program to boot is certainly in minutes. Removing the program and the desktop items boot instantly. The computer also seems to run a bit snappier without Fences loaded. I am running the 2004 Windows Version - 19041.113 and have been for months and fences has ran just fine. . I guess a recent update to Windows has created the Fences issue. I should probably relabel my post to include compatibility with the next Windows

At first I thought it possibly a Windows 10 sync matter between two of my computers. However, I was able to figure out that is was Fences that was not functioning properly. My computers boot times were quite excessive. More specifically, my fences would tale almost two minutes to appear with their icons/files/folders, etc in them. I uninstalled Fences and tried another install. The problem returned. Without Fences both of my Windows 10 PC boot quickly and load their desktop items.

The last couple updates for Fences (the bet and now the regular) update ok but Object Desktop keeps prompting that an update is available for Fences.

Fences works fine for the most part with the Creators Update (build 15063.14 - Released Version). However, the folder portal feature can not be used becasue the icons have little or no spacing. You can change to a detailed view as a work around but on a reboot, the problem returns.
