Valve recently added support for DirectX 12 which is crashing Ashes but you mentioned this occurs in DX11 as well. Off the top of my head I can't think of anything else. Please open a support ticket: https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?/default_import/Tickets/Submit
<
What make and model of the 290 do you have? How are you installing and reinstalling the drivers? AMD uninstaller? Can you run MSI afterburner and monitor your temps to the point of the black screen and report back. Blacks screens can be caused by a number of things, but primarily it's GPU memory instability. No bluescreens, the display suddenly goes black and then after a few seconds there is no signal to my display. The only way to get the computer back on is a hard power off/power on. No overlays. I'll take a look at my startup apps and see what I can thin out. Any other thoughts on what, if anything I should look at/try next? According to Steam, I'm 96 minutes into playing the game and I haven't made it a full minute into the benchmark. It&

I tried running with my CPU at stock and no luck with that. I double checked the in game settings and it's set to 1920 x 1080. I also tried turning off VSR in the Crimson panel just in case that was the problem and that didn't help either. So far I've tried; low graphic settings v high, DX11 v DX12, VSR on and off, Crimson 16.2 and 15.12, and my standard OC at 4.3 v stock at 3.3 all of which result in the game locking up my system with no display to my screen somewhere

I dialed my CPU back to stock at 3.3 and it's still crashing my whole system about 30 seconds into the benchmark. I also tried rolling back my drivers to the 15.12 ones to see if that might be it and it was crashing at the same point with those drivers. I am running the benchmark at the low video quality. Any other thoughts?

I just purchased Ashes of the Singularity and every time that I try to run the benchmark it crashes my whole system after less than 30 seconds. This happens in both DX11 and DX12. I am running the Crimson 16.2 drivers. My system is a Windows 10 64bit, I5 2500K with 32GB of ram and a R9 290. I do have an OC on my CPU, which is running at 4.3, but it's water cooled and never goes over 60C and has been stable in every other game, application or test I have tried.
