At the highest intellegence they already get around a 25% PQ bonus... so you can see that already if you want.

Okay, so for one thing version matters a lot, the original release had very aggressive AIs, so upgrade. Second, trade is key. Trade constantly improves your relationships with that race. And yes, since I have simialr inclinations to your own, an all pure good is a very nice idea. Try pure good for all races with the AI's set at genious. You still will have to have trade with everyone and have a decent military, but you can play a very diplomatic game... as long as you aren't ev
10 :P Dear god, what have I become?
Wierd. Hope they fix it.
Sorry, for the multiple posts, it was response number 2 on that thread and was taken directly from the FAQ.
It was posted again on this thread. http://www.galciv.com/forum.asp?BID=GF&id=30857
It here in the unofficial FAQ, the manual that just came out says the opposite. Here is the link to the incorrect info. http://www.galciv.com/encyclopedia.asp?action=showpage&page=http://www.galciv.com/faq/faq.html
Mumph. Unhappy sound. Arg. Another unhappy sound.
You can find out relative tech ranking easily by checking out their stats. And you can always find the actually techs a person has by going to the dip screen.
I've recently grown (temporarily) tired of the game, and have been playing with modding it. I actually decided I wanted to try to put in the life force resource for fun (no I wasn't going to post the games) but I can't make it work. You get the graphic if you create a new resource as follows, but I can't get the thing to actually give the bonus. This is how far I got, any ideas?: //------------------------------------------------------------------------ RESOURCE 6 GenesisFo
I liked the crystal from MOO2. CAn we get us one of those?
There will always be cheese. If nothing else, if someone REALLY wants to they can get save and reload games before EVERY colonization until they get a +50% PQ on every planet. So far I think they have spent a lot of good time on things besides cheese, but I really would be grateful if they could put in a few more major mods, maybe another tech branch? A fewmore ships? May be evena higher level defense ship that comes after the hammer(since it got nerfed)?
Also lower your taxes so you get higher pop growth. Higher pop means higher imfluence.
You might have to get the planet destruction tech, its up the terraforming branch on the way to tech victory.
I'm wondering if the civ rankings are screwed up. I can be last place in essentially every category but still number 1 or 2 over all. Was there a change in how this is calculated?
I am still having the problem. On wierd things too. First my setting are: gov overrides projects (off) active gov ignores GNN (on) Randomly my planets will switch to a lower priority build. Sometimes in the middle of something important like a trade good... Sometimes it switches to one of the capitals randomly. I don't understand... what I am seeing is that is it ussually my more productive older planets.. the ones where I am watching the production more c
Get sensors +4 dude... it's fun being able to see everything... may be not worth it, but it sure makes the autosurvey ability a lot more useful.
I don't know, will have to play a bit, will get back to you, I've paused on a playing for a bit. Thanks though.
I saw this in 1.01 so it isn't anything new with the 5 bc/turn upkeep from version 1.03
Just to mention, sorry I haven't been posting to the metaverse, but I've been getting bored with games for one reason or another. Maybe bad idea on my part but so be it. Playing 1.03 recently and haven't seen anything different. Might just be that the torin on high levels just kick so much @ss that the rest just get dropped from the running.
If I'm right, and I could be very wrong, I still don't have a clue how it decides if it gets triggered. I know I didn't randomly finish research while I had my research set to zero. But I do know that one of the huge techs at the end.. well when I was researching I noticed the time left was cut by a huge chunk... and then it researched even before even that reduced time was completed.
Thanks for confirmation Frogboy, I'm sure you want to leave some mystic, but I think I can actually make a guess about some specifics. There seems to be a chance each turn (maybe 25%???) that the amount of research on your current tech is half completed. Any body else actually tried messing with this ability?
OOOOOoooooooo. good idea.
and yes jacqt response kind of makes sense, but I wanted to know if it was actually true.
actually said a negative treasury helps your morale.
