The Fences version is 5.84. When you click on the background nothing happens. The only way to sort is by the menu on the left bottom corner, as shown in the video.

I've sent the video here which answers your questions: https://we.tl/t-dNca4o2py0 . As to the rest: Edition: Windows 11 Pro Version 23H2 OS build: 22631.4169 This has always happened, even with Windows 10. As you can see, I've been using it for years and finally decided to spend some time to ask about this odd behavior.
I don't know why sorting has and still is so bad. I select to sort by Date Added to Fence, Date Created or Date Modified and it never works properly. I most often need to see what was just added as whatever comes in goes to the Desktop so I need to either see it or move it somewhere else. Unfortunately, it rarely is in the right position. All too often it winds up in the middle of the other items which makes for a lot of wasted time Why is that?
Except that it changes constantly, so that wouldn't work. Something that might be added as an option is not to make windows on their own or on top transparent. Otherwise check if it is the same monitor.
Making the windows that are not active is a good idea and makes it more interesting to use WindowsFX. However, you don't want a transparent window sitting alone on a second monitor.
Something seems to be randomly taking the focus away rather quickly. It's just curious in that it did not happen before FX. Maybe it is monitoring things and manages to take the focus away when monitoring. Probably a developer has to look at it to figure out the issue.
It happens from the dock or any application that loads it and never ever happened before. It does happen on occasion now with the keyboard. Overall, it should open and stay opened until closed.
Thought you'd have it here: https://we.tl/t-SJEYznopaa Hope you find the issue!
Watch the video. That got worse and as you can see, it is pretty useless! I even repeated the scanning again, to no avail. As to FX, I had to configure things again on it. Problem is, how do I upload a video (MP4)?
Hummm... I hadn't done that since there were no issues and after all, I installed it again yesterday just before I posted to you. Anyway and unfortunately I did after your last question. Well, it lost all of its configurations without saving them anywhere. After that, well, it got considerably worse! After I did the scanning Windows said to reboot to install or update. That was a bit strange as it was updated the week before last, when there was their last update (I keep it fu
Well, here's the outcome: Beginning verification phase of system scan. Verification 100% complete. Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations. I guess there would be little to be done beyond that. Note that I strive to keep it 100% as this is a development computer with Visual Studio and the like on it. I am glad that I seem to have managed to do that!
Hello Basj, 1. Version 20H2 (OS Build 19042.804) - Windows 10 2. 1.96 3. 6.1 (trial thus far, though I'd imagine that would not affect the problem) 4. All default. Note that I also have Fences (latest version), also in its default location. I mention it in case it could be the culprit 5. More complicated so I'll answer below First, originally I ne
Well AzDude, after reviewing the batch file I did as instructed. Got it working again but unfortunately, the problem continues. As I had said, it started with WindowFX, so much that I gave up on the trial because of it. Then it continued without WindowFX, which it never had done. So I decided to try WindowFX again and submitted this problem issue here.
When I open Start10 with another application (or even the keyboard sometimes) it shuts down immediately, stopping me from accessing it! Bad news. This started after installing WindowFX so I removed WindowFX but it continued, but not as badly. Like any other program, it should open and stay open unless I click outside it. This needs to be fixed and certainly when using it with another program of yours! I need to be able to easily do things on my computer.
To answer your questions, I've been using Nexus for quite a while now, as a tablet and not -- and it always worked. I installed Fences and guess what: it gets fenced off! Where just once in a while, okay. Note that I tested quite a lot before pointing out that there is a problem. As to not getting a message, when one or more windows are open I have often had to click on the desktop for Nexus to respond. If the applications don't send the message on in a timely and correct fashion, the
The one thing I have not heard is why everything works normally without Fences and then it no longer works with Fences. JcRabbit, explain that please, rather than accusing me of not wanting to solve the problem (particularly as I have enough of solving problems when coding and debugging). Of course I want to solve my problem, otherwise I wouldn't have reported it and instead simply removed Fences and continued either using nothing or else another solution. Translated: everything works
Jorge, When in desktop tablet mode, finger movements are essentially the same as mouse movements. More importantly, deactivate or remove Fences and swiping down works normally. Activate it and it does not. Note that I installed the last major upgrade shortly after it was announced. Namely, quite a few months ago. So it did not affect access to Nexus. Also, I haven't changed anything with Nexus. I need it to work well, which it has been. Remember that Fences also interp
Version 1809, build 17763.253. I haven't had Fences that long but seeing as there was a major Windows upgrade recently (in October), it may be that Fences inherited a problem.
Sean, if you just reboot it, it does not go away. You have to uninstall to get rid of the problem. I also gave you the extra information which I think is very relevant: that it never happened before. That is important since had it every happened before, I should go and complain to Microsoft.
No, it doesn't. The problem goes away. I also never had the problem before (quite a few years now) but only currently with Fences.
This is a serious bug in that Fences directs the input of hand or finger touches to the desktop to Fences. I use Nexus Ultimate which is docked on the bottom of the screen since it turned out to be more efficient in the user of computer resources. When I use my Surface Pro 4 as a tablet (which comes with Windows 10 Pro) I can no longer access Nexus when using SP4 as a tablet. I can only access Nexus with keyboard attached, using the mouse. If I tap on the screen, Fences responds but n
Thanks Wizard1956. Would the Sticky Notes be a Metro App? I don't know if support reads this but the solution could be to use the icon I included in OD to launch Sticky Notes. Also, don't display on OD anything not loaded from it, as an option (for those not happy with that).
Uvah, wouldn't that mean that normal apps that I loaded would stop showing? If that's the case I lose the ability to switch from one app or app doc to another. The ideal would be only to display those started up in OD. Any ideas of a fix for the unknown icon (question mark)?
With Windows 10 there are two problems: 1. Several applications display an icon with a question mark (Sticky Notes is one of them). How to fix that? 2. Some applications start running in the background, also with that icon. These apps do not show anywhere else. How can I stop them from showing up on ObjectDock?
