I never found anything in the options that seemed to help. However, try this. When you have a whole munch of ships that are moving arounnd, zoom all the way into some part of the map that is mostly empty and won't have any ships going across the area. Then hit end turn. It will go really fast then even though you have 60 constructors ans whatnot all over the place.

It also has special parts in the ship designer and with your CE info you can also access the WindowBlinds GalCivII skin that is on the web site. *RiedBaldrov: It will include the extras. I wonder if it is the opening animated splash. I tried running my desktop across both of my monitors. Everything seemed like it would work, however, the opening splash would straight up fail. I don't think it was ever even getting to galciv2.

Sorry to hear that. Expecially about the books as I am a collector myself. As for the collectors edition, everything in it will be available as long as GalCivII is available. The code juts seems to unlock the pieces already in the game. I bought the regular edition online and then upgraded to have the the collectors edition shipped to me. It was definately worth it and I didn't have to reinstall. Just enter in the new key and presto, all the new stuff

Transports do have a very short lifespan. Either because they hit their target planet or get mauled by the enemy. It depends on how dangerous the galaxy is. I have found armed transports very effictive with certain tactics. I noticed the same issue. My workaround was to disable the second monitor in the windows desktop/screen properties before playing. I tend to do this anyway since ugly colored representations of my wallpaper tend to show up on my second monitor no mater what game I play.

I also found this happening. It may or may not be in combination with another issue I was having at the same time. I had some waypoints directly on starbases. I could not access these to remove them. To get around that I decided just to use the 'T' key to access the waypoints. I discovered there that I could not scroll the list.

I am not sure it is related, however, I may have had a similar issue and found a workaround. When I would install a new skin with WB5 occasionally it would either: half install, not install, or install a different theme. The solution I discovered was to always apply the "Windows Classic Style" first. Then apply the new theme I wished to test out. Perhaps, if you try this, it will save you a reboot.
