Is there any tutorial or manual out yet? If so, could someone please post a link?

When I bought the game it only gave me a download for the Strdock utility. I had to use the Stardock Utility to download and install the whole bloody game. :sniff!:
Is it possible to get a copy of the game on CD, or to get the files required for installation, and burn them on a CD? I'm sick of havibg to redownload the entire game + bonuses + multimedia, after the game crashes due to a faulty mod. The whole process, with a cable modem, takes over an hour. Any help with this? Thanks.
I just have to offer a big thank you to Stardock, the beta testers, and the modders that put out such great stuff in the library. I've been working with the US team on SARS globally (not locally). GalCiv has been a great stress reliever. The constant improvements in patches, the new and interesting events, the "easy to learn, but hard to master" gameplay. It's all made things a lot more pleasant for me in this busy time. Thanks to you all.
I noted earlier that GalCiv and world politics have a lot in common. Since my "real-life" area of expertise is policy, development, and healthcare, there are a couple inclusions I think would be really interesting in the game. Currently I'm working on the US's global arm fighting the SARS epidemic. If you consider interplanetary colonization, exposure to alien microbes (with absolutely NO immunity), and globalization (on a galactic scale). An epidemic could have major consequences on pr

I've researched almost every tech and I still can't form alliances. I CAN ask someone to go to war with someone else, but I can't form an alliance. What am I doing wrong?
I am completely impressed how GalCiv manages to capture the very real aspects of "global" development and warfare. As someone involved in the field of global development I must say that the interaction between war, trade, and the development of a single society is captured more perfectly than any one game can do. For example, if my "super power" human government goes to war with a relatively weak Drengin government, it still has a massive impact on my social development. It probably too
Here's my situation. I installed all the library additions, played a game, and it crashed after about the 100th turn. I reinstalled, afetr cleaning up the directory, rea-dded the mods, and it crashed again, in the same way. So I uninstalled, cleaned the directory, and reinstalled with no library mods. Anyone have any ideas which mod causes the crash?
Much obliged for the new AJ governor mod. I like the additions. However, I did like the "saucier mod" and overwrote it. Where can I download it?
