Reflection Map in SKS 6? in Object Desktop WinCustomize Forums

Hey, There was a lot of talk in SKS/WB5 when it introduced a lot of transparent functionality. One of these was the reflection map. I found the option to set a reflection map for popup menus but I can't seem to find the option to set a reflection map for window boarders or glass in general. Usually, when an update is available, there is a yellow exclamation point next to the program, and it gives me the option to update in the lower right hand corner of impulse. Even if I choose check for updates, Impulse just signs out, signs back in, then shows me nothing new.

Thanks for the reply, I only bought the object desktop bundle, not the ultimate bundle. According to Impulse, I'm running Skinstudio 6 Professional. That's the only version I see available, even if I click the "show hidden applications" checkbox. I'm running Version:6.40.024, latest update 2/17/2009. I have the "show pre-release versions" checkbox checked, but it doesn't show me anything new as far as I can tell. This is frustrating [e digicons]X([/e] -Patrick

Thanks for your help anyway. Perhaps it's a bug? If so I guess we should report it so it can get fixed. In the mean time I'll switch some colors around so it won't look terrible without a mouseover. And if anyone else on the forum can figure it out then please let me know, I'll still check the thread periodically. -Patrick

Yes I have the pro version. I bought Object Desktop recently. Any thoughts on the tech tree difference? Here's the link to my skin. I think we may have found the problem. My file tree doesn't look like yours, I'm missing the right mouseover command. Are you running a pre-release or something? I'm running 6.40.024. Let me know if this makes a difference and how I can get the latest version. OK maybe I'm not understanding very well. I've tried a few solutions. "I believe the mouseover text color only works when using a single mouseover image for both." The first was that on default the item mouseover has two images, the normal mouseover and a seemingly useless transparent one. Hello, I have a few questions, I hope someone is willing to help. This is on a Vista computer. I have lastest versions of SKS and WB. 1.I should be able to have a different font colors on mouseover and regular. However, I cant seem to get the left panel (programs) and the right panel (places) to simultaneously work. I want to have red font (regular) and black font (mouseover) but for one to work correctly the other has to be on OS default which isnt what I want. <
