A friend and I just bought Retribution this morning and added it to our existing installation (base GC3 + Mercs + Snathi + Crusade + Terrans + Precursor + Mega Events + Treasures + Altarian + Intrique + Star Control and now plus Retribution). Our first two attempts to start a new MP game (local lan) crashed. We're uninstalling and reinstalling now. Is there anything in the earlier DLC's that could be causing the problem? Thanks, pat----

Yeah, I've used MalWareBytes for years and never had an issue. There were now entries in any of the MalWareBytes logs. But, when I searched thru the app and saw the "Exclusions" option, I tried adding GalCivIII.exe and then the multiplayer started working again. Since GC3 hasn't been updated since June (v3.04, we don't play the beta versions), it must have been a MalWareBytes change that made it start blocking GC3. Working well now tho. pat----&
Son of a gun. I created an Exception for GalCivIII.exe in MalwareBytes today and ... nearly 8 hours of successful co-op playing!! [e digicons]8C[/e] pat----
Yep, my friend and I have been seeing this regularly with 3.04. We like to play coop (team 1) vs AI (no assigned teams) and invariably one of us is nicely located with available planets nearby and the other is located surrounded by the AI players and no available planets. :( pat----
