I never actually played a match online, but I did create an account. E-mail, away! [EDIT] Got an auto-reply saying to contact support@stardock.com for lost serial keys, among other things. The first link only sent me my Impulse serial, which is useless to me. And I don't have ICQ.
I recently reinstalled the game after having not played it for over 6 months due to computer troule. However, I cannot find my serial code/product key (or the box for that matter). I had entered the serial on the website when I created my account, so I figured it wouldn't matter too much, but when I went to download the updates, I was asked for it. So, I am unable to get the updates from the site, which is rather annoying. Please help!
Should have said before, I'm installing from a disc, not from Impulse. (On a completely unrelated note, I can't get the upload buttons to work to change my avatar. Tried in Firefox 3.1b2 and IE8 beta, with and without compatibility mode.)
Trying to reinstall the game under Windows 7 64-bit. Setup freezes at "Windows installer", at which point I assume it's supposed to invoke the .MSI installer. I have it set to use a non-default folder, and it doesn't even get to the point where it creates the folder. Any ideas?
If you're using GalaxyForge to create maps, you can replace the "GalaxyScenarioDef.GalaxyScenarioDef" file in the GalaxyForge folder with a copy of the newer version of the same file from the Sins game directory; after this, any maps you create in GalaxyForge will be 1.03 compliant from the get-go. Note, it may be a good idea to back up the old "GalaxyScenarioDef" file first. Or, come to think of it, you could create a complete copy of GalaxyForge itself, and have one with the old file and one
Thanks a bunch!
