Starting Ships Spawn Bug in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

I just started a new game and my 3 starting ships all spawned in the same square in the bottom right corner of the map, about a sector and a half away from my planet. Obviously this wasn't much of a problem since I had no time invested in the game, but it was a bit curious.

I just got a TV in a game in which one of my last planets (and the one with the biggest research bonus) was sitting right in the middle of enemy territory, being protected by some godly pirate ships that spawned due to a mega-event. So yeah, I'd say TV can definitely be meaningful, lol.
