Anyone know if there is an MCC fix for regular GC2? DA? I have GC2 v1.5, do I need TA to get a working MCC? Also, talking of upgrading, do I need DA to run TA? Thanks all, you guys are the best.

I actually found that installing Impulse and updating the game to be rather easy. I agree that simply clicking the Update button should do just that, but this wasn't really difficuly. I am finding Impulse to be easier to navigate, better looking, faster running than, eg, steam, without the hard sell valve forces on you.
I have edited the title of post to reflect this.
Just to be clear. What I think is a bug is that one peaceful civ invaded the planet of another peaceful civ, WITHOUT a STATE of war existing at any point. I'm not saying that it wasn't reported, I'm saying it didn't exists, before or after the invasion. I did get a message that the Krox surrendered to me. Although I didn't get a message that the Terrans were at war with me, this is probably due to the fact that they weren't at any point.
Superior Duranthium, that's the one. Bizzar that it is far better than most of the armour you get latter. It's better than the Tri-whatever armour of any level, and i think better than the next level up also. Not a but then... sorry for the miss post.
But this is diffent. It wasn't the message I was missing, I wasn't at war period. I wasn't at war before or after I was invaded. Sure that's different from simply not being notified?
I always end up automatically getting Superior Det. Armour tech. When I say always, I mean in the last 6 games I have played, I may have before that, i don't remember. It's been a long time since I played being good, but I think that's one of the Good only def. techs. It's certainly much better than the armour I get untill Zero-point. I don't know exactly when I get it, but I think it is as soon as I research Det. III tech. I suddenly have Superior Det modules I can equip
Hi guys, I got two new bugs. I'm playing DL still, vs 1.4 something, (whatever the latest is). Firstly, the invasion, this was strange. The Terrans and Torrians where attacking the Krox (I paid them to do so). The Terrans had 3 invasion ships headed to the last planet, the capital. Before they got there, the Krox surrendered to me. The Terran ships stopped moving, and just hung out in dead space near the old Krox capital. Now, about two months l
Well it was a few days ago, but I swear that the altarian military was rated higher than mine, and they and a negative military strength modifier, and all they had were unarmoured scouts. And yes, I will put the dif. level up next time. by the end of the game i didn't i had my ships moving at 50spaces a turn, since i didn't need more weapons or armour, and i just wanted to win!
Sorry to be a math jerk, but I keep seeing this and it rubs me wrong! +100% is stacked with the economic bonus's of the civilzation. It does not double it, unless that civ has +0% economic bonuses. if you have a natural +30%m Federation's +30% and say three economic starbases maxed out, an MCC would bring you from +177% to +277% which is is only a 36% of you pre-MCC economy. Still big I admit. That brings me to my next question. On harder difficulties, is the AI bon
How is Military Strength Calculated? The reason I ask is because in my last game, during the colonization stage (I'm still playing DL) I noticed my closest neighbor, the Altarians, had the top rated military. At the time I had 4 1 Beam defenders. I looked at his planets, and then talked to him to see what ships he had, and he had 12 unarmed scouts. How do 12 unarmed scouts give a better military rating than 4 defenders? Also, letter in that same game, but this has h
Finally, and most importantly, I have InFAQ #3, about Influence Starbases . If you build an econSB, then any friendly planet in it's radius gets the bonus, and you can see this bonus if you go to the 'details' screen from the planet screen. When I build an Inf. SB, the nearby planets do not show the +x% influence bonus on the detail screen. -The +x to influence is listed as a percentage bonus, but a percentage of what, and added to what? The manual
InFAQ #2 – Do Spaceborne Citizens Pay Taxes? Spaceborne -i.e. troops or colonists. I don't think they do, but can somebody confirm? -If so, what is the advantage to sending out full colony ships? Is it only that when the time comes, that civ can send out its own colony and troop ships. And on the subject of citizens and taxes; -What is the formula for population growth? -If higher populations reproduce more rapidly, then there
Okay so I have a number of infrequently asked questions. InFAQ #1 – Special Event Planet bonuses -Are the only for that planet or civilization wide? -In particular, when I choose a 'good' option that requires me to pay, is the amount per turn, one time, deducted from that planet or from of civ as a whole? -One of the bonuses (pirates?) is that I get a 'Starship' bonus. I don't know what that is. Is it a bonus to military production? On this planet? H
I can a little close to confirming this today, playing on whatever difficulty sets AI to 'bright'. I started my normal cultural conquest strategy, and after two and half years i have a quarter of the map under my control. Near the middle there was a star cluster with about 8 habital planets, controlled by 5 different civs. I build two influence starbases and after about 5 turns, one of them finaly flips. Boom, in the next five turns the rest all flipped. I found another suc
Opposing Civ's planets suddenly stopping defecting after I built the MCC. I have noticed a few other people posting here and elsewhere that they are having the same problem. Economic bonus is cool, but if it's intended to replace the instant-flip effect, then enemy planets should still be able to defect as normal.
Actually, I was just looking through some posts in the bug section, and there were a couple of people who seemed to think that the MCC prevents defections, I am looking for some confrimation.
That's something that crossed my mind Vinraith. I did have a few planets defect earlier in the game (the AI colonizing those 5 and 6 Quality planets I skipped) But I don't remember one flipping since I built the MCC. Anyone else notice this? Does Stardock not have any info on this? -G
Hi all, I am getting majorly frustrated. I've played a few games using a cultural conquest strategy (without the victory condition) and have had no trouble flipping planets, sometimes two a turn, by rushing diplomacy, influence and government techs and buying off people who didn't like me. Spamming Influence bases all over the map. It would get to the point that I'd flip one or two planets most turns. However, I trying it again, and it's simply not working. I have b
