Still having trouble getting started in Metaverse GalCiv2 Forums

I keep getting this message while trying to make a character ... The name you have chosen contains invalid characters. Only alphanumeric (a-z, A-Z, 0-9), underscore ( _ ), period ( . ), and hyphen ( - ) characters are valid. Please fix these errors and try again. I have tried everything ... including one word names with no luck? I cannot figure out what the problem is. Anyone out there have an idea??? I am totally stumpted and about ready to pull my hair out

Problem for first timer in Metaverse GalCiv2 Forums

I am a new GCII gamer and have enjoyed whipping up on the computer. I want to play metaverse games but I am unable to make a charachter? I keep getting a message that I am using incorrect charachters in my name ... but I have tried everything. I want to play under the name Genghis_Blak ... but at this point I'd play with any name. Does anyone out there have an idea what is wrong? I have tried more than one computer to establish a charachter. If anyone has an idea email me at jethrosgto@aol
