Additionally: I have tried playing the game with fewer planets to no effect. I am currently using the latest patch, but I'm not sure if I can get an accurate frame of reference on the topic of it being a "patch issue", being that I updated immediately after I got the game.
I wasn't sure where to put this, but I guess bug reports will do. My computer meets the minimum and "recommended" system requirements on the box, but around midgame the scroll and overall performance becomes sluggish to the point where the game is not even playable. I have tried to disable the various video options, and nothing seems to work. Even turning EVERYTHING off fails to work and the performance issue remains. My computer
