Or select the offending SB on the map click an option to send a demand to the AI to remove that specific SB. It might be a pain to have to do that to an entire SB cloud, though.
To go with the Mobsters and Thugs I also built tons of Minions. A Minion was a tiny fighter with no guns and all engines. These suckers had 13 move, and would "pack up" around my fleets. Basically, for a fleet of 10 mediums I would also send maybe two dozen Minions. They would sit three to a square in the 8 squares around my fleet not in fleets themselves. Each one of those tiny fighters would soak up an entire move of those 5k Yor fleets.
Oh, man, I've got to try this...
When I have extra colony ships (after sending a stream of them to a single colony, for example) I really don't like having to murder one million of my citizens just to take the colony ship out of orbit to make it eligible for destruction (so that I no longer have to pay maintenance for it).
Nope, it's both single and multiplayer.
Good. I'd rather be a solo player, as I'd prefer to avoid teenyboppers bellowing obscenities at each other in leetspeak.
Yeah, they're a pain if they pop up while you're trying to sprint to win a Tech victory.
"Never" also doesn't actually mean "never" if you get lucky with exploring anomalies that temporarily boost the research of your current tech. I don't think that is a bug. If research isn't being funded and the current tech shows "never", one of the researchers can still wake up in the middle of the night, scribble something on a pad of paper, go back to sleep, and wake up the next day to see the solution seed written out. It happens. I'm satisfied that the game mechanic sufficiently co
Can the final release of this game be played solo, or is it supposed to be multiplayer only?
The problem with turning off mega events is the "throwing out the baby with the bathwater" thing. There are plenty of mega events that don't actually suck and instead make things more interesting.
I kind of wish that Minors would just get a "minor race tech tree" that doesn't give them access to any unique/race-specific techs and does not include any of: Deeper Knowledge, Galactic Understanding, Near Omniscience, Beyond Mortality, Technology Victory
I think at the very least, the Dark Yor tech tree should be similar to the Yor tech tree; other minor's tech trees could be plausibly dominated by their assumed good to evil alignment.
I find it interesting to note that the first, most easily obtainable regular planetary improvement available to the Thalans is the simple Embassy. heh.
Classic Terror Star attack crash, against Korx home star system, as noted [link="https://forums.galciv2.com/?forumid=421&aid=171782"]here[/link].
Problem is reproducible under Beta 4 from the same savegame as the one I submitted (break Korx alliance, Terrorform Korx homeworld system). Choosing to start the war by terrorforming other Korx stars doesn't crash, just when destroying the Korx capital star system. I wonder if it has something to do with the Korx having to choose a new civ capital after the first one is destroyed? Hmmm....
I dunno, maybe you have to buy the ship yourself and park it right next to the target planet and then sell it to the minor to give them the big hint that they should do something about it (leading a horse to water, etc.) heh.
Do they kick students out of class for having laptops that are too loud these days? Anyway, I'd recommend a cooling platform. It will keep your thighs from being baked.
A tie between "Remember Me" and "Sub Rosa", both rare Beverly episodes.
Yep, I noticed that problem with terrorforming, but was hoping it was a mere statistical fluke until I saw this thread. I really, really hope this isn't "as designed". That would be... bad.
I just emailed a save game that illustrates a new incarnation of the old Terror Star attack crash.
Sounds like the fact that you have a repeatable crash is good news in that you can send in a save game to Support where the cause of the crash should be easier than normal to diagnose.
Amazon? Spend it all on a bulk order of Cheerios.
I'd like to be able to sort my list of colonies by how much influence they have, so that I can make better informed decisions on influence-driven issues such as the political capital and which of my colonies are at risk for being flipped.
It could also be the video card overheating, depending on the nature of the wonkiness, of course....
After all, how many times can you research a cure for the same disease?
In the case of the Flu, as many times as it mutates. Pandemic? Mere inconvenience? Roll the genetic dice....
And then there are the gas giants, which represent a lot of the type "0's" in the game. Those are not terraformable, in the usual sense. Colonizing a gas giant basically means putting bases on the moons, or artificial habitats in orbit. The game's tile system for improvements isn't set up for that.
Thirteen habitable moons = thirteen tiles. The planetary background artwork would be interesting.
You know what I would like to see? A spectator mode, where every single civ is run by the AI. It would be like John Horton Conway's "Game of Life" cellular automaton, except with lasers and neat special effects....
He's looking for a mod that generates a minimum of Planetary Quality 54 for all planets.
