I know this sounds like a newbie bonehead question but hear me out. I can create a shortcut on a dock with a path such as "C:\" and a window pops up no problem. I have 2 machines, the other with network shares. If I create a new shortcut with the intended path of \\MACHINE2\C , in the shortcut dialog (objectdock's, not Windows'), as soon as I type '\\' the dialog freezes for at least 30 seconds. Then I can type "M" and wait another 30

Aha! A little browsing through the registry did the trick. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Stardock/ComponentManager/ObjectDesktop The ComponenentManager branch contains the email address that shows up in SDC but the following ObjectDesktop branch has nother email address key that had my old address. I changed that and I can download updates now. ...if anybody else has this problem. Thanks, I'll contact sales if I have further problems.

Help! I had to change my email address recently so I did so through the website. I loaded SDC today and it failed to log in right off so in SDC I went to Tools/Edit Stardock Account and put in my new email address. After that the latest version numbers showed up and all seemed well. But now, if I try to install any updates it retry's 6 times and fails, saying my account info is incorrect. Ok, I got it, thanks, I looked right past it because it's not with the other Stardock stuff. I've applied the update and I'll see how it goes. I'd say every other startup it'll lock up upon load. Before,I could just end the task and reload it but this time it locked every time. It's back for the moment, I'll see how the update behaves. Thanks!

My objectdock just locks up when it loads. The docks pop out as they load and then just freeze. I end the task and re-launch it but it just locks up again. Maybe I need an update? How do you update this program? It's not listed in Stardock Central and there's no update links on the website... Any suggestions? Thanks.

Docks disappeared in ObjectDock Stardock Forums

Hi! I'm running Windows XP SP2 and ObjectDock Plus v1.90 Build 535u. I had a number of docks set up and they simply disappeared. When I go to My Docks it has the usual default docks as if I had reinstalled the program. Is this a known problem? While I'm here, where are the dock configurations stored? Is there any way I can back this configuration up should this occur again? Thanks!
