This is mean to prevent players from sending 1 troop simply to screw up the planet Why is this not a legitimate tactic? this would be like the US bombing the enemy factories to weaken them. This would be the planetary bombardment option so many people want and ask for.
Entity Alpha 1
How about, instead of building the future eqivilent of a large coal plant, how about a SMALL fusion reactor. instead of making you able to build basic factorys, you build 1/4 of an Industrial Sector. 1/4 the cost, but only 1/4 the output, while still taking up the whole square. I think it's a nice compromise. you still have the limit of keeping to your current tech lvl, w/o being able to go below, but you can still do a reduced option.
Yeah, i See ya... but i'm no bug fixer. sry, but i can't help ya.
lets see... we answered #2,#3, and #5. That leaves: #1. An auto-colonize feature. You could specify the % of fullness you want to load your colony ships up with, along with the minimum class of planets you want to colonize. Then, if a planet matches the requirement, the colony ship would self launch and go there. </
#2. Give the ability to set rally points for ship types at a global scale. When I want to start building starbases, it would be nice to be able to create a single rally point that all constructors would automatically go to instead of me having to set up each individual planet. you can do this in the g
#3. The ability to set focus to military, social, or research production on a global scale for all planets. There are many times that I want to focus on building social buildings or military when I'm about to go to war, etc. It's a pain going through each colonly individually to set that. accually, you can. you should do it from the Military/Social/Resherch sliders in the econmy tab of the domestic affairs window.
well, now we have to make more and send one to each sector.
6. Drengi had mil & econ starbases right on top of each other (well, right next to each other -way too close) actualy, this now a part of the game. the new limit is 4 per sector, not 3 parsecs away, like it was before. apparently th AI handles it better.
just in case you misspelled it, starBASES benifits will stack. starPORTS(the ones built on planets) do not stack on one planet.

On a related topic, how can i make a costom home system for my coustom race. My email is at The_Great_Beta_Tesla@msn.com is you can send me step-by-step instructions.
No wonder they died out...
Why i everyone double posting?
Well, at the very least, Steam is no longer one-of-a-kind. If, indeed, it ever was.
Kind of wacked but it works I agree. If they can get to Ai to Handle it again, they should change it back to "SBs must be 3 parsecs apart.
You can't make a ship your flagship. What they mean is your staring Survey Ship. It's just called a flagship.
You may also want to metion that there is no limit to parts intersecting, other than the resultant poly count.
the AI handles it alot better than the old "3 parsec" rule (a LOT less calculations). I hope they change back to 3 per parsec. That one made more sense, seeing as the bases have a Radial Effect, not Sector based.
If GalCiv II is going to have multiple fun ways to win besides war, the UP is going to have to improve significantly. More meeting, the ability to influence the topic(s!) they vote on, plus something else I have yet to think up or see. I ask for a brainstorm on a third upgrade to the UP.
All the otehr difficulty and "AI" levels come from changes in thh economy. It's all in the manual. Not all of them. Some changes revolve around which sub-routines and protocols the AI will use.
Or you could have a slider that directs your espionage spending towards espionage/counter-espionage. I agree, this is a much needed feature.
Stardock have the patience of gods Second only to the designated God of Patience.
It'd be cool if wormholes popped up and stuck around for indeterminate amount of time, or even have a tech that could produce them.. yeah, except the AI would have a coronary.
My home world is always an Econo, the second world had factories and a starport, my third world is research, my fourth is balanced. Fifth world is a new Econo, and so on... Unless there are significent bonuses on a planet. Then I follow the Bonus and go out of Order.
Where you able to squach them like bugs? Maybe they were sucking up to you?
