Thank you, Kryo! I am indeed using European decimilization. I will change my windows locale settings. Thanks for your help, everyone!

It looks like it has the latest. I have a single core/processor AMD Opteron, and I took a look around the AMD website, following the link for multi-core processor updates, and there aren't any updates that apply to my chip.
Actually, it does look like there were some errors this time with double-buffering. I'm not sure if that was what caused the visible errors, but who knows....
The debug.err files are now in the same directory. I took a look, and they didn't seem to have anything abnormal in them. I guess it's good to include them anyway. Here is the Dread Lords debug.err and the Dark Avatar debug.err . Tell me if you see something unusual that I don't!
I don't think it was corrupted, as it passed the SDC integrity checks. In any case, I have re-downloaded it several times experimenting to see if I could find the cause of the error. It's come up every time, with the same manifestation. I've even tried using different Windows accounts, to make sure I was starting from a fresh setup.
I've been having a consistent error with both DL and DA. Some of the race's core ship designs appear bizarre and corrupted. The error is 100% reproducible, and happens in the shipyard, appearance selector, and the main game map. This occurred from a fresh installation, and has persisted through uninstall/reinstalls, user-data wipes, and combinations of these. The DL errors occur without DA installed, so I don't think it is caused by Dark Avatar. Here is an example from DL: <a href="http
It shouldn't be possible to set enemy ships into guard mode by pressing the "g" key.
To the best of my knowledge, this is already in the game! I was just playing a game with the AI set to bright, and I was given a warning to move my ships away from the Drengin border. I wasn't even in their space, just right on the border. Perhaps this only happens at Bright AI and above?
Interesting enemy bug: 1) Select an enemy planet defended by ships 2) Click the small "set destination" button in the central display 3) Select a rally point from your civilization 4) The AI ship will leave orbit, like it was just launched! Specs N/A
Thanks! I wasn't aware of this.
I am getting the same issue as DocDVD, with more details. 1). Notification of ship being built pops up. 2). Select "Go to" 3). Select Shipyard 4). Make new ship, press save *** At this point, the description dialog does NOT come up.**** Exit the screen by pressing done. 5). The report screen comes back up. *** At this point, your custom ship does NOT appear in the build options. Attempting to re-ente
Which actually brings up a question... who did most of the writing?
I know that Blender at Link has an export script to the DirectX .x format. Blender is also completely free!
That's what happens... watch those backwards vs. forward slashes.
Nice! Way to support the unenlightened nations.
If you think Grohyt is lucky... I've got all next week off for Mardis Gras. I get the best party in the world and a full 9 days of off to enjoy GalCiv.

I'd like to know about this too. I never played GalCiv I, so I don't know how this is supposed to work. The idea of getting more money the further your starbases are from your territory is intriguing, as it makes it a difficult decision about how far away to place them. Close and protected, or vulnerable and profitable?
