[quote who="BuckoA51" reply="69" id="3263664"]I can't personally see how anyone can regard the "Modern" UI as anything but a huge backwards step for a desktop PC or even a laptop, fortunately thanks to Start8 you don't see it at all, and you can enjoy the other benefits of Windows 8 without the silly tiles. Once we have Windowblinds and one or two other programs fixed Windows 8 will be the best version, it's still not that big a leap over 7 but there's nothing to 'fear'

I'd like to use it but it appears to have issues with my card. As was mentioned by Majic7, the lines are are small pieces of titlebar, window and desktop grahics that get frozen in place untill another window passes over it and wipes it away. I believe I started getting the lines when I installed my Radeon 1900xtx becuase I used to use it with my nvidea 6600GT just fine. I was briefly running my radeon with 32 bit windows and I noticed the lines
Unless I'm mistaken, CursorXP also seemed to be a bit of a resource hog as well.
It was cursorXP that caused it. Thanks for your help.
Thanks for the replies. No overclock and latest drivers. I found that it does it when I unload windowblinds as well.
I have a problem with small, randomly appearing lines on my desktop when running windowblinds, which dissappear if I move a window over them. I'm running windows x64. I'm using: Radeon 1900xtx DFI lanparty expert AMD Athlon 64 3200+
I know about the "apply supplied wallpaper" and it's on but still won't load the wallpaper. I'll try reinstalling the program.
I'm using the latest version of Windowblinds. I just updated to the latest release today but it didn't fix my problem. My problem is that windowblinds no longer installs the supplied wallpaper. If I cycle through my skins, the preview window keeps the current wallpaper, except for the default skins that came with windowblinds. It will only auto install the wallpaper on those default skins which came with windowblinds. When I first star

I did the same thing and I'm now running WB5. Thanks for your assistance.
I posted this about the beta version before but I didn't get any help. https://www.wincustomize.com/Forums.aspx?ForumID=36&AID=92561&cmd=myposts Now thatthe full version has been released I downloaded it off Stardock central and it still won't run. Nothing happens when I click on any icons or shortcuts for WB5. The config file has only this in it: [SknStdio.exe] ActiveFix=1 NoExclusionInheriting=1 IgnoreA
Is wbperapp the config? It is an empty file with nothing in it for me. Also, if I uninstall wb4 and intall wb5 it shows both as installed on stardock central.
I installed WB5 beta 2 from stardock central but after it installs if I try and run it nothing happens. I have uninstalled the previous version and reset my computer. If I try and run WB5 by any method such as from my startbar, from stardock central, or from the icon in the WB directory nothing at all happens. The config window does not open. I had to uninstall and go back to WB4 which works fine but I really wanted to try the beta. Running
