Thanks for the reply rabidrobot. I'll check the check box! The widget theme sounds like it may be the answer. Still wish there was a big on/off switch though.

Just installed DesktopX and spent hours arranging the widgets on my desktop. I thought I had the layout saved but when i tried to reload it the widgets never came back! I clearly don't understand the concept. When I put my computer into hibernation and then restart it all my widgets are where I left them (of course) but how do you turn them all off (shutting off widgets while the computer is running) and then turn them back
