Does anyone know of a way to enable WindowBlinds 7 to skin WordPerfect X4? I have tried all of the Advanced Options to no avail. The only way to get WordPerfect to start with WindowBlinds is to exclude the application all together and then all you have is the unskinned basic Window. WordPerfect does work fine with Windows Aero, just not WindowBlinds. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply Orion. I know that there is a registry edit to keep windows from displaying the name on the start panel. I did it on my former computer. When I upgraded that part was gone. I installed my old hard drive in my new computer and I guess I could seach the registry to find the edit but I got the link to the Microsoft Knowlege Base article from someone in this forum. I was just trying to same some time and work. Thanks anyway! <A HREF="https://

Quit a while back, someone helped me with a registry edit to hide the display of the username by Windows XP in the Start Panel. I believe someone supplied me with a link to a Microsoft Knowledge Base artice that showed the registry edit. The reason I need to do this is that our domain entries display our username with the last name, first name format. I have edited the start panel in my current skin with Photoshop and put my name in the way that I would like for it to display, but Windo

I have the latest version of Desktop X (Alpha) with the IconX feature. I have Desktop X set to load at startup and it does fine. The problem is with the IconX feature. It does not automatically generate the animated Icon objects. I have to go to the property sheets each time and hit the Apply button before the objects are generated. I have tried to configure IconX every way possible to no avail. Is this just something that is not available in the early version? Or am I missing something. <br

I am running a Dell Optiplex GX110 with a Pentium III processor. My video card is an Intel Chipset (82810E) built into the motherboard. Window FX performs minimally at best. When I click on the "performance" link in the Window FX properties window it tells me that "constant alpha blending" and "per pixel alpha blending" is not accelerated by these drivers. Does anyone have an opinion on which video card works best with Window FX? I think I read where someone posted a message not long ag

Is there any way to add a sound when you right-click a window to roll it up? I know that you can add roll-up button and add a sound that way, but I was just wondering if you could somehow add a sound when the window rolls up when you right-click. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN

Just a note to everybody, especially FlipNET, that the solution worked great. I finally hid the username by using the registry modification and then used Photoshop to add the username text to the BMP file. Thanks to everyone who helped solve this one. Also, I solved my problem about the "Go" button text not completely displaying when the address bar is displayed on the taskbar. All I did was reduce the "bold" attribute for the font to medium and the entire word "Go" now displays. <

I have adjusted the "content margin" in the userpane section many times. In the preview tab in SkinStudio it moves just fine. I then save the changes in SkinStudio and the reload the current skin but nothing changes. I have a feeling that it all relates to being part of a domain instead of a workgroup. It just seems like this shouldn't be this hard. <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.com/in

Thanks, everyone for the help! I have come to the conclusion that the background graphic will have to be redone so that it aligns with the username. I just thought there must be something that controls the placement of the username in the startpanel. I have tried adjusting all of the settings in the [user.pane] section of Windowblinds but even though the preview shows the username moving, it does not change in Windows. It is really ironic because all I want to do is move the Username i

That does make sense. I am connected to a domain. But I would think that there is a registry setting somewhere that positions the username on the start panel! There must be someone who knows. I have checked Microsoft's knowledge base and have not found anything that even remotely refers to this. <img src="h

I wonder if anyone can help me with this. I am using the Woody skin by Treetog. On the start panel in the userpane section my name is left aligned partially covering the "3Tog" logo. I have changed the ContentLeft and ContentTop attributes in SkinStudio to no avail. I am beginning to think this is a Windows XP registry setting. Does anyone know how to fix this? Also, I have the "Address Toolbar" showing on my Taskbar and beside the "Go" button the word "Go" is supposed to be di
