I purchased DesktopX on the strength of your posts about it and I was pretty disappointed. The concept is cool but the execution over at Stardock really stinks. I've had numerous problems with object desktop. First of all when you go to the website then go to "products", it doesn't tell you that you're buying a download-only version of the product. (It does on the front page but not on the product page.) But that's not a real big deal. The problem comes when you want to use the program on a machine without broadband access. Good luck moving the program to another machine! Since you must use "stardock central" you can't actually just down
