I disagree with Dr. Guy and Psuedo... And I disagree fundamentally with you, InBloom. Governmental recognition of marriage is not a neutral act. It is promotion. The government has a vested interest in actively supporting traditional marriage. A husband and wife are uniquely suited to bringing about the next generation of well adjusted tax-payers! When Saddam is unruly in court, why not beat him? The judge could order him beaten in public on the spot for breaking court rules, being disrespectful of the judge, or whatever. This would have several good effects. First, it would help the Shia who still fear him to see him publicly humiliated and begging for mercy. Second, it would help the Sunni, who still think h

Don't know that driving 35 mph would be that great... Consider that it would take you twice as long to get anywhere. Perhaps you feel differently, but drive time to me (particularly the commute) is dead time. I hate commuting to work. REALLY HATE IT. So instead of wasting an hour and a half a day, I could waste 3 hours a day. Now lets do some math. An extra 75 minutes a day = 375 minutes a week = 18750 minutes a year. Thats 13 days down the toi

You have the wit of 10 Middletons. 'Bout choked on my lunch! Need a laugh like that every now and again... Congrats on the job.... guess they were OK with the 1500 page resume then?

I know a guy (not me, I promise) who married an ugly woman. Not sure exactly how she bagged him, but she's really stunningly ugly. She's one of those women that catches your eye much in the same way a traffic accident would. Yeah. Like that. Now you would think, being not pretty, that the woman would try to make up for it in other areas, say, like by being nice.

After shocking the nation by exchanging her 'Grieving Mother' status for political gain, Cindy Sheehan now wants some privacy, according to a statement quoted on the Drudgereport. Sorry, Cindy... You had my deepest sympathy, as do all relatives of our fallen comrades in arms. After using your son's sacrifice to promote your political ideas, however, and trying t

The NWA Mechanics' Union is set to possibly strike just after 11pm CDT tonight. Here's a word of advice: DON'T. My humble suggestion is that you dissolve your union and try some free market economics for a change. Unions are a thing of the past, and while they served a valuable purpose in improving the standard of living for the masses, it occu

I move we start an oil company which only sells oil that originates in North America. Not only would it help defund the terrorists, but I think it would be a big hit... Most people I know would be willing to pay a premium for terror-free fuel. Canadian Tar Sands anyone?

The last line of your first quotey quote really reveals all: "But a broader definition of ourselves is simply that we are all animals." Of course if humans really WERE just animals they might have a point. But humans are created in the image of the Creator, which makes all the difference.

"It is very easy for Americans to think so since they never occupied us, exported our women as whores, raped our daughters assembly line style, and then outlawed our native tongue and culture. Fairly shallow to think that the folks who were right next door would take it as lightly as we do." Spoken like a true Korean Patriot! I would agree with you, Greywar, if the same

According to the radio programme I heard this morning, the Japanese gov't has once again apoligized for all the suffering they caused in WWII. How long must they continue doing this? Has no one forgiven them yet? They've been pretty peaceful for 60 years now... I think it's time to officially tell Japan that they're forgiven, that bygones are bygones, etc. It's ge
