The -worst- copy protection is my opinion is Valve's Steam engine. What an intrusive piece of #$%^. Anyhow, I'm really very (VERY) pleased with Stardock. At first I found it annoying that they'd require me to submit a serial number to play. But, having read their license agreement and having gotten several nice feature adding patches has changed my mind. You know what I appreciate the most, Stardock?
