To the:

I've been told that "here on JU the main things are articles that start serious debates". Hmmm, ok.... well folks... I say, take a flipping chill pill. I myself post things *I* want to post... (putting my bad spam habit aside) You see? There are OTHERS *gasps* on here that like to blog things for themselves, and who *gasps* like comments every once in a while... thats who i am know.. I leave things in the forums so that those who may be interested can comment. I'm being open. If no one comments "whoop-tie dee"! I could give a care less.

You see? My point is, that here at JU. It seems that "serious debate" is starting to put a choke hold on bloggers who just blog... who occasionally get into the debates.... Some of those who post 'serious stuff' are all pissy about people posting stuff thats "drivel", well, ya know what? Its not your forums... Its not your call... If Brad, or Karma say "Don't post your personal blogs in the forums." then fine, okay... they're gone. Until then, you'll be seeing some "every day" blogs.... deal with it...

And take a chill pill...

Now, this article epitomizes why I started ignoring your stuff. It wasn't because of the 'history' since I was ignorant of that whole mess. It is the flip-flopping and disgusting sense of entitlement you write with.

You write some drivel, call it humor, and then ask for feedback and how to make it better. Someone takes the time to provide solid, sensible, constructive feedback. So what do you do? You trash it and write this type of tripe, stating that:

Until then, you'll be seeing some "every day" blogs.... deal with it...

So what do you want? Do you want feedback? If so, why then react in such a peurile way to it? The truth is, I think you just want the attention, and it smacks of immaturity. My advice:

Take your own damn chill pill and shut the hell up.

Its not entitlement... Its called letting others just blog...... Hmmm?

So what do you want? Do you want feedback? If so, why then react in such a peurile way to it? The truth is, I think you just want the attention, and it smacks of immaturity. My advice:

Let me spell this out: "What do i want?" = Whatever... If some one wants to comment on a blog of mine.. ok, fine... Its the fact that people have a problem with me posting my "drivel", my 'everyday' blogs... They like to interact, yet the damn me for the blogs....

Yes, I have a spam problem... I admit that much... points? Used to... not anymore....

Now you are just pissing me off. Look, you asked for feedback. That would suggest you wanted the damn feedback. Once you get it, if it doesn't suit you you piss all over it. You asked for comments, and didn't like the ones you got. So you get your panties all in a knot and post more senseless crap.

So seriously, do you want feedback or not? If you don't really want it, don't ask for it. If all you want to do is post, then shut the hell up and just post. No one is damning you for your blogs. They don't have to. It is your own insolent attitude that damns you. You do a mighty fine job of it yourself.

Oh, and wipe the snot off your face, you little brat. It is unbecoming.

Sure... but, think, would everyone agree with every piece of feedback? No...

Blog on my friend.

I think Blue Dev has basically made the same point. He (Lucas) posts things, asks for feedback and then gets mad about it. Then he posts something like this, which is not him just "blogging on", which is what he said he wanted to do.

ElindelWolf or Lucas or whatever you want to call yourself: You are free to write whatever you'd like. If you don't like the responses of certain people you are free to blacklist them; that's what that feature is for. You can still get comments on your personal blogs even if you don't put them in the forums (did you know that?).

No, JU is not just for serious debate. It is for all kinds of blogging. You can post serious stuff, drivel, whatever isn't against the ToU. Just know that on this site or wherever you go you may not get responses that you like.

And armed with that information, you should probably blog on and take a chill pill. You cannot ask it of others if you aren't willing to do it yourself.

And don't spam.

Most here aren't complaining about every-day blogs... Most of us post them from time to time, some of us rely heavily on them for our content. But, there is a difference between writing about your day and posting half a dozen articles, each 3-4 sentences long.

Pointless, every day articles that don't require debate or discussion don't bother people. If someone doesn't like reading about another's day, they typically just skip the post. You've made if very hard to skip your stuff though when you post so much that it fills the "Recent" lists. When you flood the site with random stuff, you're no longer so much blogging for yourself as you're forcing the rest of us to wade through your stuff in search of anything else.

Sadly, you've earned the dislike of some of the more, determined, here on JU. They will dog you at every turn no matter what you post or how you change at this point. They will go out of their way to blast you at every opportunity, deserved or not. At this point, if you're serious about reforming yourself and trying to be a part of the community again, blacklist these people until you've made your come-back.

I for one am a huge opponent of the "Everything on JU must be super-serious" Link contingent and think blogging should be fun and even silly at times. It's a hobby and it's not much fun to have your hobby dictated to you... But, it goes along with the saying "Your right to swing your fist ends at the edge of my nose". Flooding the site with posts takes a step beyond "blogging for yourself" and is the equivalent of walking up to people in a library and shoving your book in front of them demanding they read it. That's what has most people pissed really is your insistance that you get read. People will read you if they want to, and that comes from writing things that interest them. If you only write that which interests you, you won't be read... that's just a fact of life. Going for the "Shotgun" approach won't earn readers so much as it will earn enemies and people who just want to tear you down.

LW... I think that's crossing a line that none of us here have any business crossing.

Visit my site for a petition to end this via administration. Of course, if LW can do it for us...

Ditto. I know there's no ignore feature yet, but maybe you can just get it in your head to ignore everything by this poster? You two seem to feed off each other.

Zoomba, and xtine, neither of you have any idea what I am referring to, so might I politely suggest you stay out of this particular bit of it?

Take it off the forums then. IM, or email, or hell, telephone, since you've publicly announced you have it.

BRAVO!

Lucas, in the almost 2 years that I've been here I have never seen BlueDev pissed off.  You have managed to accomplish quite a feat, and no, that's not a good thinG.

I'm just amazed that you had the balls to write something like this.  Truly.  You just don't get it, do you?  You never have, and you never will.  You must really have a death wish, because this is the perfect way to get exiled.  Permanently.

I'm going to go sign Dan's petition now.  You have pushed me to the brink of anger with your infantile, pathetic arguments and tantrums.  Now you sit smugly, treating one of the respected bloggers here with disdain....you blew it, Lucas.  Look out, because I'm gunning for you. Instead of holding my tongue and being polite, I'm going to say what I mean and mean what I say and you, little boy, are not going to like it.

Hah, i had more than that, xtine, i held their lives in the palm of my hand at one point, but since i'm not nearly as wicked as some people seem to think i am, i just let 'em squirm for a week, as a learning aid, if you catch my drift, and then did all the "right" things.

Has almost a terroristic threating tone to it...

evidently you don't know the difference between the forums and JU as a whole. There are things you would stand up on a soapbox and tell the world, and then there are things you would discuss among a small group of people. That distinction is why we have the forums, and why we can choose to only post them on our blogs.

Honestly, I feel sorry for Lucas.

It's obvious that he craves acceptance and it's obvious that he has emotional issues.

I just can't bring myself to make an enemy out of someone who appears so helpless and needy. I also think he has a bit of a point about getting conflicting messages.

He's been told to write "for himself" and about whatever he feels like and when he does, he gets told that it's not good enough and that he should write about other things. I don't think that's fair. Sure, he needs to exercise self control when he's posting to the forums, and sure, many of his articles would be more enjoyable if he put more effort into them, but at the same time, who am I to tell anyone what or how they should write?

I want to be able to post whatever I want. Some days that may be something politically charged or an opinion piece designed for debate and others it may be something silly my kids did that I wanted to share.

I see lots of bloggers posting things that require little thought or effort. They typically either get ignored, or if the blogger is well liked, they get positive comments regardless, but I don't see this kind of backlash on the threads of others.

I would be sincerely hurt if after posting one of my "kids did something cute" blogs someone came on there and told me that it didn't meet the standard and that I needed to blog about other things or spend more time working on my blogs.

I think ignoring his blogs if they bug you is a good idea. I also have no problem with burying posts that you feel are crap...I've done that before, haha. But I don't feel comfortable bitching at him about his content. If he hits on something good, he will get comments...positive reinforcement, and if he writes something that the majority of other bloggers feel is entirely stupid (and hey, don't most of us from time to time), it won't get him any attention.

It shouldn't take him too long to figure out how he needs to write if he wants attention and/or praise.

Obviously, I'm not a top ten blogger or anyone with any sort of influence, so my ideas don't mean much, but those are my thoughts on it. I hurt for Lucas. Perhaps my sympathy is undeserved, but it's there nonetheless.

I don't think the problem is personal blogs, TW, it is posting 10 of them a day, mostly in the same categories in order to saturate the visible list in the forum. The fact is most of us would have the decency not to do that, even if we had 10 to post. I personally have opted to spread mine out several times.

You either have to be purposefully obtuse, or insanely inconsiderate to flood a category, see that your blogs are shoving other people's down, and still have no problem with it. That inconsiderate attitude is what is being addressed here, not necessarily the topics.

I was an idiot once and deleted all my skins from a skin site. When I changed my mind, it took me a couple of days to reupload, trickling them in, so that I wouldn't flood the "front" of the site. People are just asking for that kind of consideration. Expression is fine, point whoring and spamming is annoying.

Lucas just wants to turn this into another pity party. He can write 100 blogs a day about anything he likes, but that doesn't me he should slam the forums with them.

Yes. And I agree that it's inconsiderate and that the attitude he's displaying here is seriously out of line. But...I also think he's frustrated and that is partly due to the conflicting messages he's getting about his content.

Haha. Well, I'm a sucker for pity parties. I tend to have an overdeveloped sense of empathy. And I agree about forum spamming. I think it's an asshole thing to do, regardless of who does it.
I think he understands the message perfectly, he would just like to shift the focus to something other than forum spamming. He sees the the statement "You flood people off the forums with 10 menial posts at a time" and he wants to focus on the word "menial". Convenient, huh?

I think it's cool that you have a relationship with Lucas...

But I still don't think that this is "right". It's not normal, and very indicitive of someone with far too much time on their hands and far too much emotional stock invested in JU. I don't understand why you think this kind of thing...making people "squirm" is fun or is an okay thing to do.

How so? As far as i can remember its on your blog...thats it...

Well, then i will barricade myself in my blog, stay away from their blogs, change, and meet them head on if need be... (unless it is my fault...)

I think he understands the message perfectly, he would just like to shift the focus to something other than forum spamming. He sees the the statement "You flood people off the forums with 10 menial posts at a time" and he wants to focus on the word "menial". Convenient, huh?

No, I don't understand it... I mean, the "creme de la crem" of JU... say blog for yourself, then, turn around and spout something out of the other side of their mouth... I've admited that i have a major problem emotionally,etc... And that I will try one last time...If i can't (as i told someone else) I will leave JU on my own initiative... ok?

I don't think the problem is personal blogs, TW, it is posting 10 of them a day, mostly in the same categories in order to saturate the visible list in the forum. Does absolutely absent minded fall anywhere there? Cause thats what it is... I *don't think* when i go post those multiple blogs... thats it... call it whatever you want...but thats what it is...

I HAVE NO DISDAIN! Listen to me... please... I have the utmost respect for a lot of bloggers here... i am not purposely doing anything...

I am so fllipping tired of EVERYTHING! ....
