Is anybody sick of Vista already?

Seems to me that most articles are about Vista. Anybody sick of them like me yet?

Well you can't deny it's true. How ironic.

VISTA = Virus Inside. Switch to Apple

And where do you think the viruses will go if there's a mass exodus to Apple? Given that the parasite virus writers want to impact on the greater number, they'd follow the migration and Macs would become the primary target....and I'd not be bothered one iota

Oh dear....now I've bought into the OS war....oh well, in for a penny, in for a pound: Mac = Maybe a computer?

An Austrian virus writer has published five simple viruses targeting Microsoft MSH in a virus writing magazine. These proof-of-concept viruses will never became a real-world problem, but the case is interesting historically, as these are the first viruses for a totally new platform.

MSH, or Microsoft Command Shell, is a command line interface and scripting language. It's basically a replacement for shells such as CMD.EXE, COMMAND.COM or 4NT.EXE and will ship in 2006. As a command-line front end, MSH resembles many Unix shells quite a bit.

As MSH (codenamed 'Monad') was scheduled to ship as the default shell for Windows Vista (which went to first beta last week), you could argue that these are the first viruses for Windows Vista. However, it has lately been rumoured that MSH might not ship with Vista at all - instead might be part of Microsoft Exchange 2006 or something. We won't know for sure until later.

The possibility of MSH viruses was forecasted last year by researcher Eric Chien (of Symantec) in his presentation in the Virus Bulletin 2004 conference titled "The return of script viruses - an overview of Microsoft Shell". In his presentation Eric concluded: "While Microsoft Shell is still in development, the current versions have enough functionality to allow a variety of malicious threats including file-infecting viruses". Right on.

I was once sick of all the hype behind XP until it's release.
I guess I'll follow the same path with the Vista kraze.
However, I am sick of people making the same Vista skin over and over and over and over and over again with little or no alteration of the original.

To all you Apple users: I hope you are happy with your OS. I use it for 8 hrs. a day. It is great. I prefer XP at home and await Vista. With Object Desktop, Konfabulator etc. It's DA BOMB! Sure there are some features that OSX has that XP doesn't but I find that I can pretty much do everything on XP that I can do on OSX. It's all about what you prefer and whatever that is doesn't make you any better than anyone else.
To all you Apple users regarding their flaming of XP and viruses: I practice safe surfing, have my protections in place and updated. Viruses are a non issue. Been clean for years here.
To all you Apple users who think you are better than PC users: Get a life. It's all about the OS. Who cares? Apple has you suckered into to thinking that OSX is so much better. I use it every day and even on a G5 with a gig of RAM it'll lock up every now and then. Why do you think they employ a Mac specialist where I work?
CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG!?!
