I'm extremely excited to play the game, and I was wondering about some gameplay/engine considerations when it comes to turrets and missiles.
Turrets
Edit: I was able to answer this question. There is a slanted turret on the port side of the new Kol Battleship.
All the examples I have seen have shown them either placed vertically or horizontally on ships. Will the engine also allow turrets to placed along slanted hulls? It would be a nice feature, especially for mod ships, but I understand if the engine doesn't want to calculate coordinate system changes for lots of turrets.
Missiles
I am wondering if there will be different styles of payload. I'm imagining something like a casaba howitzer, where the explosive does damage in a very tight beam in front of it upon detonation. A personal Sci-fi favorite of mine.

Turrets and Missiles
I'm curious regarding tracking. In the original game, some weapons could target strike craft, while other could not. Would individual turrets will now have some kind of target priority where a small turret would target incoming missiles first, strike craft second, and only be used against other ships if nothing else was available, while a larger slower turret would only be able to fire on larger ships.
