.77a Tech Removed?

So I've started playing a game as the Terrans in .77a. I found that I cannot research Oceanic Worlds (it is not listed in the Tech Library) but I have a nice big juicy Oceanic World I want to colonize as a Core World and put my Torian Research thingy on it. I tried looking to see if the tech was incorporated into another tech, but I haven't seen it.

I also cannot research the items to build Bob. The entire research path starting with Weak AI appears to have been removed. I tried searching for Weak AI (and Oceanic Worlds) using the search function in the tech library. It's just not there.

So is this a mistake? (hope so). Or is the intent to remove those techs? Is the intent to remove Oceanic Worlds from the game? Because no use having the world on the map if you cannot eventually colonize it.

Also, I was extremely disappointed that warships continue to not be upgradable in the new release. Really hope this gets fixed soon. Or, again, is this intentional?

I asked about the non-survey ships not upgrading thing a day or two ago. One of the Stardock guys said something to the effect that Commander ships are supposed to be able to upgrade, but they currently aren't working properly. They said it would be fixed sometime. It sounded like non-commander ships are NOT going to be upgradeable like they used to be though.

Just paraphrasing from memory, don't take it as scientific fact.

Unfortunately WAD as this was another fix that messed up the techs. The Tor that live on an ocean world can research it even though Ocean worlds should not be extreme to them but Carbon Based life forms have no access to the tech. IMHO this was a poorly thought-out way to achieve their goal of different races having different techs, again IMHO this was a good idea just the implementation is poor at this point.

So there is no way for the Terrans to colonize an Ocean world? Could I get access to the tech by building my Torian Academy in a lake, and then getting access to the research?

It seems that for now we are SOL in being able to colonize ocean worlds.

I'm actually not sure about the precursor worlds though, going quickly through the traits and Tech Trees of the most likely traits I could not find one.

There is a possibility that it may be possible by using the ancient trait as the description says get Precursor research for exploring anomalies.

Your guess is as good as mine if this is the way to discover the Precursor Techs.

Yeah ocean worlds gone and BOB is gone.

Also, with the cultural starbase techs, the "Hive Mind" tech can be researched but does not show up as a module to be built in the starbase. Things got buggy on techs recently.

Happy about the tech tree being back though.
