Game Crashes on Startup after Validating Files

When I open the game, I'm met with the standard Stardock launch screen, but when I hit Play it will then crash. I followed the instructions to verify integrity and it identified one file which it reacquired. I then attempt again and get the same crash. If I verify integrity after already verifying but before starting game, it will say everything is OK. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game as well as updating my drivers to no success.

If it's any help, my computer had other crashing issues so I did a fresh reinstall and it opened no problem. Consider the issue closed.
