Game Takes Forever to load into and out of Games

So i came back to Galciv3 clean install everything up to date. I have a decent modern gaming machine. Galciv is running off an SSD  32gig ram, overclocked water cooled cpu, 1080gtx etc. Game takes maybe 3-5 minutes to load into a game and 3-5 minutes to leave a game and go to the main menu.  Along with obsurd loading into the game times.  This did not happen when i was running off my standard harddrive and last expansion.  Game is using maybe 15-20% resources doing the long load times. Is there something im missing here?  I have a lot of designs saved on my comp.

 

It just is unplayable to wait forever to just go in and out of the game.

3-5 mins really? I'd get your computer checked out for hardware or driver issues.

I play the second biggest map in 90% of my games and it does not take 3-5 mins to load or exit. 30-60 seconds at most. 90ish if im over 250 turns, but by this time I quit anyways, the slow down with the AI atm is more a concern for me.

It takes me something like 3-5 minutes to load also it has to do with both multiplayer, and playing maps to big for my memory.

Just started when i came back for intrigue. Same rig i played with in general tons of other games run fine cannot find an issue i was wondering if there is some weird setup that just takes forever the computer isn't really doing work just sits forever. Its quicker to Alt f4 and relog into the game than it is to leave a game and go to main menu.  I just know gciv seems to get less optimized the longer the game goes on so was hoping it was something dumb like me having 1000s of designs in my folder or something.

 

Oh well i guess ill just reinstall again and keep it off the new ssd and hopefully it works like it used to.

Well it does help to not have the option to have over capacity designs on. The ludicrous map is just to big to optimise. The other maps should be fine. 

Change your interface to small. Lower your resolution. Optimise windows for performance. Change your power settings to high performance. Defrag and clean your computer. Disable steam overlay.

Tried that didn't seem to change anything.

It is most likely some weird hardware issue with the game. On my dated work laptop that is far inferior to my gaming PC GalCiv3 loads in and out super fast at all sizes. So it just has to be the current version galciv3 not liking my PC/hardware configs etc.  As all other expansions and patches of the game loaded fine.

 

I can deal with the longer load into the game its annoying but meh. Its just going out of the game to the main menu. The destroying galaxy etc takes 2-3 minutes its faster to alt f4 than it is to go to main menu.  Once i am in everything run great its just the in and out. I assume one day i will reinstall or change rigs/hardware and it will fix the issue.

I use control shift esc. I don't see why you would uninstall over this. I just don't return to the menu.
