Asteroid event

Hi,

I was wondering whether this is new in 3.04 - I see unfortunate genius has been restored under another name - and how others feel about it.

I guess I wasn't paying proper attention but still wasn't best pleased when my home world Snathi Prime was destroyed  utterly after nearly seven hours' play, admittedly in a rather dodgy position.

I can see that Stardock want to introduce some randomness but am far from sure that this is the best way to do so to keep players happy.

Any thoughts anybody?

To be fair, the event does come with two separate warnings/events which allow you to keep your planet from being destroyed. In addition, the planet is still habitable; just not as much

Well these things give you two telling you what chance you have of suceeding with one that lets you back out of it. The rewards are nice though if you suceed.
