What type of alerts are you getting? If it is something like this "Beware, [Your name]. We have received reports of pirates. These scavengers destroy anything they come across.", you can ignore it. It is just one of several generic conversations that the AI can initiate as part of the Flavor Text. They don't mean anything.

Yes, those are the types of alerts I am getting. After I saw no pirates in hours of play, I figured that the alerts were part of the game, regardless of the "no pirate" setting. I was just wondering if I could do something to shut them off. I find them mildly annoying, but I can live with it.
