Is the ai really attacking multiple times per turn in anyone's game?

Hey folks! I haven't played GalCiv3 in a while and was thinking it might be time to try it again, especially after reading about the improvements to the ai in th!e 1.81 update. In the notes they say the ai will be more likely to launch more than one attack per turn, which it seldom if ever did before. In many of my old games this change probably would have made a real difference in the level of challenge, so I hope it's a lot more common. It would be great to have confirmation from people if they have seen the ai do this.

In my current game I am in wars with several races (they started them).  I have seen the following:

An enemy ship destroyed my mining base and moved away in the same turn.
An enemy fleet destroyed my starbase and moved away in the same turn.
An enemy fleet destroyed the single ship stationed at my planet, then moved and destroyed a mining base in the same turn.
Worst of all, a large fleet containing a transport destroyed the single ship stationed at my planet, then invaded and conquered the planet in same turn.

Thanks, very glad to read that.

Nice! :) Does it ever launch an attack, lose the battle but weaken your forces somewhat and then move another fleet to attack your fleet/planet in the same turn?

I don't know.  My enemies have never lost a battle at my planets or an invasion.  I expect to be extinct soon.  :waaaa:

It has done that to me in previous versions, more than once, so it wasn't a fluke.  I have not gotten near far enough to look for it now, but it would not be a new behavior.

Also they stack their fleets ALOT!

You can tell a stacked fleet by a little red star (pretty sure that's it's meaning).

You know when you attack a fleet, and nothing seems to happen, well it attacked, and destroyed the fleet, but there is another one under it, so it looks like nothing happened.

I see this a lot!
