Maulers are completely broken

Wait what? Maulers deal like a thousand damage and eat shit tons of energy....
How did something like that get past the QA? 1 mauler in a Substrate army can take out all of the T2s on PHC army unless there is enough nemesis and you get lucky with targeting..
I just played a game vs much lower ranked substrate player who just spammed T2s and dreads and almost beat me despite my superior numbers. For some reason his maulers decided to disappear and reappear in the engagements. Whats with the invisible units?
I've observed one mauler with few support units taking down almost full health hyperion in less than 3 seconds
There is also very quickly growing list of old and new bugs recently like unable to select units, units cannot move, chat gets stuck in fade, units warping around the battlefield, bad connection to host causes serious framerate issues, clicks dont register, cannot issue queued move orders if waypoint is set too near to the wanted move locationg, units sometimes just stop attacking, issuing attack command to a specific structure not going trough, units retreat from fights for no reason, units charge forward into enemy defenses, planes dont follow targets when issued direct attack command and many more.
There also seems to be somekind of disconnect between players. I noticed this in many games where the other player seems to have vision half way trough my army while I dont even have a radar contact with their army.
It also seems that T1 units do not have much of role in the battlefield in mid and late game other than blocking enemy maulers or suking up indirect fire.
Currently in the public version of the game the only strategy that works in PHC vs Substrate is to hunker down and spam sentinel turrets and hope that the enemy decides on full on assault.
Is this something new from one of the recent patches or did no one ever notice before? One can kill a dread in seconds?
I think its the latest patch. I haven't played for little while. But founders get patches early and I think they do most of the QA work.
Welcome to beta testing, Waza. If balance worries enough to report "The game is broken" (in other thread) you should probably wait until release.
Right now we're focusing on stability, optimization.
No need to take it personally but its true. The game is in pretty bad shape for it to be released in two weeks time. You need to put a lot of effort into it.

I felt that way as well, but so far it has been a good journey.
I got really stroppy as well.
For relaxation, I watch the planes fly around and bomb things.

focus on stability, optimization is good
focus on balance sould be in the same prio. right now half descnt sub player wil win 8/10 games.
al you need are maulers to kil any buildings and t2 units enemy can bring. maulers vs mauler one shot eachother its so funny... not
and avengers as they rek tru t1 units like no tomarrow wat better then a zeus with his plasma arc thing.
only thing that can help phc are mass army of archer but sinds they come as a 1 man units insted of maby 2 or 3 its a huge investment.
also i notice t2 ships mostly have 2 weapons. for example zeus with some kind of pew and this plasma arc. however i never ever seen that his pew weapon does anyting remotley usfull

Your one complaint has been the Mauler is OP. If that is the issue you felt strongly enough to post about then I think we're in pretty good shape.
This week's update will have a ton of tweaks.
The Mauler is a very weird unit.
Do this:
Pause the game and zoom in on its proboscis like thing. That is the Hyena Cutting laser.
Well, it turns out that that thing is FOUR things. So when I balanced that particular weapon I didn't relize it was unique so it is, literally, 4 times more powerful than it should be.
Luckily, it doesn't target T1s so you can overwhelm the Mauler with T1s but otherwise it's totally OP against T2s and T3s.
The purpose of the Mauler is to charge in and kill T2s and T3s. It just shouldn't be quite that good at it.
A Mauler vs. a Nemesis will result in the Nemesis dead.
But a Mauler vs. a few Archers = a dead mauler.
haha so it is 4 x stronger. but when you revert that back to 1 beam i think he wil be lucklaster again. UNLES his enegy is gone so fast becuz he shoots 4 beams in to 1 so when he shoots 1 beam he wil have a bigger cap reserve
