Specializations

In the Tech tree you can generally choose one bonus under one of the 3 stacked techs. (beam specialization for instance, choose range, less mass, etc) What happens when another CIV trades a 2nd of the 3 specializations? Do you get the second bonus? Or do you get nothing.

I guess you get what you trade for, but I always play with no Tech Trading myself.

Yes you get the extra ones (IF YOU TRADE FOR THEM). 

Also if you trade early you will be LOCKED OUT. So be aware of what you are trying to trade for, if you pick a specialization you have not yet got to, you will be locked out of the other two. 

So i pick mass reduction on weapons and then go out and trade for accuracy and cost reduction. Viola..all three done!
