Multiplayer support finally to a SD 4x?

Let me start by saying that I have been supporting Elemental since the Beta.  I did not take an active role in posting feature requests, etc, but I played a good portions of the beta(s) across ALL of the games.   I own almost every game SD makes (or publishes) and this was an instant buy when I saw it was available.

I think SD needs to send out email(s) to previous customers to rally up additional support, feedback, and maybe funding (if needed).

I know that this community has mixed opinions on MP, with a heavier standpoint on SP, but I was hoping that SK may have the possibility of adding in Multiplayer support?  

I checked the forums, but I did not see anyone asking this question yet.  Yes, I know that the main game info shows that MP is not included; however, I do not understand the resistance to MP support.   Stardock clearly know how to design netcode.

I remember seeing a previous poll for MP in one of the elemental games.   This was many years ago, but would you consider multiplayer if the community is asking for it?

MP straight up isn't an option in SK. There are no other enemies. There is you the underdog against the all-powerful SK. There is no other major players to play against.

 

SD is doing a MP game though... GalCiv3.

GalCiv3 has MP support.

 

Stardock is developing framework for MP for future releases as well.
