Automatic camera stupidity

1) On strategic map after turn ended camera automatically focus to whatever you selected or first unit group, this extremely boring if you just monitor some area for enemy activity.

2) On tactical map camera automatically focus on unit that will take turn now, it just nighmare to aim archers, it force me every turn to adjust focus and camera location, in other case i will merely click single time and archers will shoot same target.

3) Both things have completely no way to disable, i cant understand how someone was able to play this for two years.

Agreed, already mentioned this myself. Stealing focus is ANNOYING and it shouldn't happen, ever.

Extremely annoying when it keeps you from seeing ALL of an enemy's troops.  Especially when you are fighting Yithril (the no bows faction) and you don't see the town's ARCHERS and they kill your pet cave bear>:( .

AOW2:SM gave you that slow pan into the tactical map that let you see everything, could that be done?

Number one can be turned off in the options. It's auto-select next unit or whatever.

I didn't see a way to turn it off in tactical, but it wont move the camera if the unit is in view. So if I'm using ranged units I'm sort of forced to zoom way out so I can see my units and the enemy units on the screen at the same time, that way I can keep the camera in place focused on the center. This could definitely use some work.

That's what I thought, but no.  Even with that option turned off, the camera still moves at the start of the turn to focus on the currently selected unit.

Ive mentioned this before too, that you can be on the one end of the tactical battle map, your archers come up and zip...all the way across to them...then scroll all the way back to the mob, attack and move on.  Ugh.  Im hoping that they can do something about this, because I dont think the camera needs to move to the ranged units.  Just stay where I have it.

With Auto-Select Next Unit off, the game will still re-focus the camera on either the currently selected battlegroup OR, if (at least) one exists, the first battlegroup that is not set to Guard but also does not have pending move orders.

I haven't noticed the second part. For the first part, is there a reason one wouldn't want to unselect a unit to avoid the camera focusing on them?

damn lol, learn to read, you nonsense answers not really fun anymore, i marked chars you missed:

focus to whatever you selected or first unit group

Ok, this is getting old. I don't know what your problem is with me, but don't tell me to learn to read and then utterly fail at it yourself. "Second" means number two (2). It comes after number one (1), aka first. You see how you highlight half of that "sentence?" The part you highlighted is the second half. Are you following so far? That is the "second part" I said I haven't noticed happening.

troll elsewhere.

if you enjoy stupid bugs, enjoy them alone.

Ya, I'm the troll. Every time I try to post bug/flaw workarounds so people can attempt to enjoy the game while waiting for them to be fixed, you jump in with an off-topic attack because I didn't simply agree with them. You have issues.

yes i have issues with camera that jump without my command

You are aware I agreed with you in my first post right?

I agree with the tactical auto focus one, it's damn annoying... would love an option to disable tactical auto-focus.

And for what it's worth, sharpxe... what the heck?   Sanati clearly agreed with you and provided intelligent feedback... then you attack him (her?).  Not cool.     :typo:

I had absolutely no problem understanding Sanati's reply. Yours, on the other hand, I'm not really understanding, especially since you cut out large portions of my original text (which is technically a misquote and, if not against forum rules, is at least highly frowned upon).
