[98][BUG] Sovereign auto-casts a spell in beginning of combat

Hi!

Great job on the new version, really loving it.

Started a game with Porcupine, cast some buffs and summoned a unit. Then attacked a monster and when the combat started, my sovereign instantly cast some spell without me doing anything. The spell was called Legacy of something. Can't remember what. I checked my spellbook after the combat and I don't even know such a spell.

She is just activating her racial ability from Amarian blood. All Amarians do this at the beginning of battle. It's a good thing  :)

Sure she doesnt have an ability or something. There are monsters that cast fear automatically at the start of the combat.

Porcupine

Like any sound sovereign she rolls into a ball at the start of battle...

Yah, the ball effect should work pretty well with all those Amarian spikes :p Thanks for the info. Would be nice, but very low priority to have the UI say something more informative than "casting a spell". "Ability activated", etc.

I hope they fix it so I don't have to wait and look at my amarrians casting some pointless something at the start of the battle.

I can only recommend checking the combat log after battle, if you remember it, and not just mindlessly click next, like me.

But once in a while, I have a moment of clarity and check that log to see what actually happened.

there is a planned fix in for this, but it's lower in the priority queue so if it doesn't make release it would be because there were more pressing things ;)

at the end of a battle you can click the "Details" button on the results window to see a combat log

Funny, I noticed this today too (Looking for it), never really noticed this feature though.
