Doesn't the Ankylon seem kind of... small?

When we were playing with the early release of Rebellion and the only playable faction was the TEC, it wasn't as noticeable. Now that we have all three factions though, I'm struck by how small the Ankylon titan looks. I remember it being small-looking to begin with, but toe to toe with the other titans, especially the non-TEC, it doesn't just look small anymore, it looks tiny. Like a small and cute turtle, would be my wife's description.

Isn't the Ankylon titan supposed to be like a mobile fortress or fleet sanctuary? A nearly invincible floating citadel that keeps its fleet safe due to its great power? It is totally dwarfed in every way by a ship like the Vorastra. I think it looks sad and pitiful, like an overweight capital ship that is also a little short.

I'm not the only one who thinks this am I? I mean, if I approached any of the other titans in an Ankylon and I didn't know any better, I would probably run the other way, just as a gut reaction to feeling like I was going to be stepped on.

Can't we scale it up a bit? Just a little? It doesn't fit with the others, and doesn't look very titanic. Some of the other titans are HUGE compared to it, making it look like just another capital ship when floating next to them.

Well, in all fairness, the Vorastra should be the largest of the titan as it is a mobile homeworld.

It would be nice if it was larger though.

yeah it is very small

The TEC's titans seem like they should be smaller than the others, as they probably lack the tech to push something the size of the Vorastra into phase space.

Still, I agree that the Ankylon is puny, even considering the lore. It's only about twice the size of a Marza, which is pitiful compared to even the Advent's titans.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!  (You'll give the poor Titan a complex)!

That it has such a huge titan foundry makes it look even smaller...it's like the devs were going to make it better, but then decided not too...

Had now idea what the Anklyon was then I saw it and got beat by one wondered why a cap ship just took out my whole fleet 0_0

yes. it's too small.

Haven't noticed it personally myself... only one which looks out of whack to me is the Vorastra, even if it is a mobile homeworld. It could still be the biggest without looking like it's at a different scale in my opinion: the egg manages it with respect to other capital ships.

You can see the size the Ankylon used to be, by the background image on these forums. But Ironclad pussied out before public beta came around and made everything a bit smaller. In all fairness, planets are already on the verge of looking silly by comparison.

Nah, I like the Vorastra's look and it's fitting for it to be that gargantuan.  Ankylon just needs to be bigger.

It doesn't need to be bigger. Its very secure in its ability to hold the line. :P

Does that mean then that the TR are trying to compensate for something?

Lets see.

Fear of the unknown? Check

Fear of new things (unless they can see the benefits)? Check

Ever the need to have more? Check

Yep, they are compensating.

well, now at least we know why the Ragnarov looks like that

Oh thank god someone finally mentioned it...after the "Advent ships look like lady parts" thread, I just couldn't take the blatant sexism....

It should be made bigger indeed.

Now now, I"m sure it just has to do with it being very cold in space..
