Vasari Mobile Starbases

Are there any restrictions as to where Orkies can move (like only through phase stabilizers or something) or can they just roam around with the fleet?

And I forgot, is the mobility tech only available to the rebels or to all Vasari?

Edit: OK OK, I won't ask you guys to teach me how to unlock the Vasari  ;P  One more week it is!

You'll play as the Vasari soon enough.

That said, mobile starbases is rebel-only and can go through any phase lane (including phase nodes).  They cannot jump to a planet that already has one present.

Does this count as an upgrade or do all starbases automatically get this?

Also, do you foresee any potential balance problems with a fully-upgraded Orky floating around?

All factional differences to those of the same race are entirely based upon research.  IIRC, it's a fifth tier defense upgrade.

Please save balance questions/comments for after the Vasari are officially released.

What if you trick the game.  Send a starbase mid-phase jump to another planet with a colony frigate waiting and use it to build a 2nd starbase before the first one arrives. If this work. you can send both starbases to a third planet with a frigate waiting to construct while the first ones are in transit.

Depends how vigilant they are about these things.

Well I'd think that if they count a starbase mid-jump as having a starbase already at the target planet then there shouldn't be any problems...
