Please DEVS, Make Maps for MP Ladder

Please DEVS, Make Maps for MP Ladder

I request, on behalf of the multi-player community, that the devs create a group of maps that would allow for a ladder competition, formal or otherwise, to be conducted. These maps would have to be symmetrical in every sense, including phase lane lengths, planet types, resource count, militia numbers, etc. I do not believe it would require a large number of maps to satisfy the MP desire and these maps could have the label [LADDER] on the end to make them clear.

I hope to receive a reply concerning whether devs hope to include such a feature or not.

Thank you.

I would rather 'tournament play' be a GOD DAM OPTION instead of zero zero zero.

and. gotta stick up for all the people who abandoned sins for shitty multiplayer support reasons.

Itd just be like blizzard's system. you got your ladders for 1v1 to 5v5s, and then you got unranked custom games for everything we currently have.

Anyone says "No, we shouldn't add multiplayer features which have been standard for 15 years" is a moron.

 (that includes map/mod sharing)

and Vasari do not need help.

I think he was impying if their were to be neutrals they would be to close to either faction for the vasari to effectively steal them. And I agree 100% pretty much.

Also I think they should get rid of surrender/quit and just combine them into just surrender. Having either option is pretty stupid. Maybe in unranked games it could keep the AI and in tournament/ranked it would get rid of the AI. (I hate looking at profiles and seeing 75 games played (65 wins, 2 losses). Just looks awkward to me. Also AI games should not count towards victory.

Btw would you go and deactivate artifacts and random planet traits for ladder play?

Im a bit meh about this because artifacts are cool, and random yes. But you invest money in what you get. Map random planet traits I would say make them all have to be discovered as well none will be inately on the planets. But most likely I think it would be best to have them not there, but it does have less of a priority then the others because you actually have to buy this 'randomness'

I can make maps like that and have, but as far as I know there's no way to control how many resources are on a planet or at a neutral gravity well.

There used to be a resource option. I cant believe they took it out.  I been saying it needs to be put back in for ages.

Honestly, I always felt there should be less of a randomness tot his artifact thing in order to make it more awesome and competitive.

Options to tailor planetary bonuses would be sweet (Like you pay for upgrade, you should have option to select the bonus). First upgrade would give you 50% chance for the bonus, second upgrade would guarantee it. This would give u a lot more of an option to customize your existing planets. Imagine selecting trade bonuses for all your trade planets, extraction bonuses for your ice colonies if u need more crystal... this would actually help Advent a lot.

As far as arties are concerned, instead of an regular bonus, you should be able to select artifact search as bonus.  And the bonus would be a percentage chance that's cumulative.  So Say your first upgrade is 10% artifact, second 20%, then you move on to next planet since you have no more upgrades.  At the next planet your chance is 30% after first, then 40%... up until you find one, then it resesets counter.

Also once you find an artifact, it be cool if it was just a blank artifact, and then you could upgrade it to a specific artifact.

Artifacts probably don't belong in competitive play.  It's too large of an element of luck.  If someone finds the right artifact (the hull strength and repair artifact or the damage artifact) it's too big of a windfall for a serious game.

Yeah I figured as much, would make the divination tech useless though :(
